Has anyone turned their articles into ebooks? I've thought about this many times.

It is a goal of mine to eventually do this, but it seems too overwhelming of a task at the moment!  It's definitely on my list of things to do Smiley  I'm so picky about those kinds of things I will drive myself crazy getting it "just right".

I just had a series of articles written (thanks Denise! Smiley ) with the intention of using them for a base for an ebook project.  I'll be adding worksheets and checklists as well as other resources to the articles, and expanding on them, but they'll be the base of the ebook.  It made it much easier to come up with the topics because I had a basic outline together and just split it into articles.  I won't be submitting all of them to article directories, but some I will.

Some of my articles are excerpts from ebooks I offer or free reports.

You're welcome Michelle. Smiley There are so many e-books out there now, it's a good idea to add extra bonuses like those to make it stand out. Yours is going to be great when it's all put together!

Rachel, it is a lot of work! I think next time I do one, I'll outsource the formatting. All the picky details nearly drove me nuts when I put Saving Christmas together.

I'm planning on publishing an e-book based on a series of articles, but I'm going to write the articles specifically for the e-book, instead of using articles I've already published elsewhere. Like Michelle, I'll distribute some of the articles as reprint articles, to promote the book.

This is something I've wanted to do for a long time... and 2009's the year to get it done!

I have considered this. My mom keeps telling me I need to get paid for writing my articles. I told her the only way that would happen is if I wrote an ebook. She said, "What are you waiting for". LOL Maybe another goal for 2009.

Corrie...I say go for it!  Grin

Do you have any idea what you would base your ebook on...or will it just be a compilation of your articles?

I'm going to take some time tomorrow to write out my goals for 2009. I will have to see what I can do about either this or a special report. Hmmm, to many things to consider. LOL

I have written quite a few mini reports, ebooks and tutorials. I have used my articles for a basis for my free reports just obviously not the ones I sell since that material has to be new and worth paying for. I just added screenshots and links to my articles when turning them into reports. A few of my reports then explain in short about a few topics that my tutorials cover in step by step actions.

I find it is much easier to write something or even a series of somethings if you have a basis to start off with.

I've been thinking a lot about ebooks this month. I like the idea of taking an ebook and writing articles from it. You could take the main points and write a completely different article on it. You could also take points that are briefly mentioned and elaborate on those. That is a wonderful idea I just had. ROFL! I made myself giggle with that one. LOL
