Writing Tips for Success

Wednesday, December 21st, 2011

Today is Writing Wednesday and today I want to share with you a few tips to help you write better articles and blog posts. When you write better articles you’ll find they’re excepted in more directories, people will want to use them as content on their site or blog, and you’ll increase your traffic and purchases.

When you’re writing articles or blog posts, one of the worst things you can do is write on a topic you don’t know anything about. No matter how much research you do, you’re going to risk others knowing that the topic is not something you’re an expert at and that’s not good.

Wordiness is another thing that causes problems. You’ll find if you use too many words you’ll likely repeat yourself. It’s better to use one word instead of two whenever possible. When you use this method your articles will be easier to read and people will feel comfortable reading what you offer.

One last thing you need to do with your articles is to make sure you proof them before you submit them to article directories or you post them to your blog. When people read your articles or posts and you have errors, they’re going to steer away from purchasing from you.

Article marketing and blog posts are important for businesses to use. They help you grow and reach your goals. When you use these tips you’ll have better success with them and you’ll find your business will grow to new levels.

Wednesday, November 2nd, 2011

Article marketing is one of the tasks every business owner needs to do, but at times, it’s just not feasible to make it happen. While article marketing doesn’t directly make you money, it’s something you must do to not only build trust, but also show your market you’re an expert in your field.

If you find it’s just not possible to make article marketing a part of your business, it’s time you consider hiring a ghostwriter. A ghostwriter will be able to help you with not only your article marketing needs, but she’ll be able to help you with blog posts as well.

A ghostwriter will run with your ideas and turn it into a fine article worthy of publication.
If you’ve ever been afraid to hire a ghostwriter, it’s possible the reason is because you don’t know exactly how they work. The first thing you need to know is how a ghostwriter works. Once you have an understanding you’ll see how a ghostwriter can really help you to reach success with your business.

A ghostwriter writes articles on your behalf in exchange for money. Basically you pay her to write for you. Once the article is written and you approve of it, you pay her and you do what you want with the article. You can change a few things and add a couple of sentences and publish the article or you can use it as is and submit it right away.

A Tip to Writing Quickly

Wednesday, October 19th, 2011

Over the years I have learned a lot when it comes to running a business, how to blog, and many other things, but I just love it when I learn something new that will help me. It’s wonderful when what you learn helps you to have more success with your business and your life.

I was on Twitter this morning and ran across a blog post that was intriguing to me. The title was awesome and that’s what caught my eye. When I clicked through the content was just amazing.

I learned the only way to write fast is to have your thoughts organized. Without that your brain won’t work quick enough and you won’t have the free flow of words and thoughts. When you have an idea of what you want to write about and all the research has been done, the words will come to you and before you know it you’ll have an article that’s exactly what you wanted.

Countless times I’ve sat down to write and it’s taken me multiple hours to write one article, but I’ve also sat down and have put an article on paper within 15 or 20 minutes. The reason the second article came out so quickly was because I knew exactly what I was writing about and I knew the content.

So the next time you need to write an article, take the time to decide on what you’re going to write about and do any of the research needed. Once that’s done you’re ready to write. You’ll be amazed at the amount of time it will take to write the article.

Using other Marketing Tools for your Articles

Wednesday, October 5th, 2011

One of the ways article marketing is a success is to have people read what you write. If they don’t know you write, they won’t know to read it. That’s not good when you take the time to write the best articles possible.

It’s not enough to only submit them to article directories. You must help others find your articles. The best way to have even more success with your articles is to promote them. When you do this you’ll find more and more people will read them, you’ll increase the traffic to your site, and you’ll grow your business.

There are several places you can market your articles and it’s a good idea to use them all if you can. Some of these places allow you to set up automatic posts while others will require you to post it yourself. It’s a good idea to do some research to see what you can find as automation is a good way to go.

Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and message boards are just a few of the many different places you can market your articles. If you post them to your blog you can set your blog up to automatically post to Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. You’ll have to post them to message boards yourself though. Some article directories will allow you to set up your Twitter account so your approved articles are published there as soon as they are approved.

When you share your articles with others through marketing you’ll find your success will increase and you’ll build trust. Don’t think just because you publish an article in a directory everyone will see it. Each person is different in the places they visit online and the terms they use for searches. Don’t be afraid to place you articles in other places for people to see. You’ll be glad you took the time to set things up.

Tips for Writing a Blog

Wednesday, September 28th, 2011

Writing on a blog can be so much fun. You can write the way you want and you can have as much fun as you want. I have a mommy blog and I love to write about my family. With my mommy blog I can do what I want and I have the ability to say what I want.

You can do the same thing with your blog whether it’s for business or personal. You can write what you want and about whatever you want on your blog. It’s your blog and you can do what you want.

It’s a good idea to set some ground rules for yourself so you know what you want to get out of it. A plan will help you with what you want to cover and how often you want to do this. With a business blog this is easy to do, but it may be a little difficult to make it happen you have a smaller blog.

When you have a business blog you can use it to market your business, share tips with your readers, and help solve problems. This is the exact reason why it’s easier to create a plan for your blog. When you use your blog for personal items, it’s not as easy to do because the content may be more difficult to come up with. That’s why it may be easier to write freely on this type of blog.

No matter how you use your blog, remember one thing … it’s yours and you can do what you want with it. You have full control of your content and how often you post. Remember this when you write your posts. Write from your heart and do what feels right to you.

Are you Careful with What You Write

Wednesday, September 7th, 2011

Writing is something we do all the time. You write blog posts, articles, content for your website, and social networking posts. It may be hard to believe social networking posts would be considered writing, but it’s true.

You need to be careful what you write and how you write it. It’s important to take your time when you write and read through it several times before you publish it. If you feel you’re not doing a good job at editing your own writing, have someone else read it for you.

Publishing an article that hasn’t been edited will only cause you heartache in the long run. If someone who edits articles were to read your post they could do mean things or say things to others that could damage your reputation.

When you’re careful about your writings you’ll do better when it comes to the way other people feel about your writings. You’ll also find when people talk about your writings the words they express will be positive and a good way for you to build trust with others.

How to Write when you have Children

Wednesday, August 10th, 2011

Writing with children running around, music blaring, and the TV going is not something most people can do successfully. If you’re in the group that can’t make this happen, it’s important to find a way to make your writing happen when this isn’t happening.

One way to do this is to do all of your writing while the children are napping. Babies, toddlers, and younger children usually take at least one nap a day, so you need to utilize this time to your advantage. The key to making this happen is to plan. You need to plan your day so you know when nap time will be. When you do this you’ll be ready to start writing when the time comes.

Planning will need to include your work time and the family things you must do. This will include anything you’re doing with your business, meal time, activities the children will be doing, and anything else you have going in your day. When you do this you’ll be completely ready to write when nap time hits.

Another way to make writing happen is to get up an hour or two before the children get up. If you’re children don’t get up at the same time each day, this can be a huge challenge so you might want to consider creating and implementing a routine to make it happen. Setting an alarm and getting them up at the same time each day will help with this routine. It may take a couple of weeks to get it to work, but once you do, you’ll be able to get up before they do to get your writing done.

When you’re trying to get your schedule in place you may find the children are going to bed too early or too late to make the time you want them to get up to happen so you’ll need to play with this just a little. One thing to remember is that it’s not going to happen overnight, so it’s a good idea to change to a new time and try it for three or four days before you give up and try a new time. Try a couple of different times before you decide on the official time as you may find another one that works better.

Is your Social Networking Content Making You Look Good?

Wednesday, July 6th, 2011

Content is one of the most important things you can use with your business. You’ll find content on your website, your blog, when you post on social networking sites, and article marketing. Content is everywhere and it’s vital to the success of your business.

One thing to remember is the importance of content. It’s also important to remember that content is in places you wouldn’t even think would contain content. Most people wouldn’t think of social networking being part of content, but it most certainly is. Every post you make is tagged with your name and people will remember what you say.

It doesn’t matter if your posts are business related or personal you’ll be remembered for what you say. This is why it’s important to remember this when you make a post. You also need to remember that people will associate what you say with your business, so if you say something personal that’s negative it could look bad on your business. That’s not what you want so you must remember this and watch what you say.

So the next time you make a post on Twitter or Facebook, think about that post before you hit the submit button. Think about what others will think and think about the future and how that post can and will affect your business. Will you lose followers because of it? Will you lose customers or clients because of the words you use? If you answered yes to either or both of these questions, you need to press the delete button immediately.

Article Writing – Avoid The Regurgitated Content Writer’s Trap

Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011

A handsome pen and a novelA good writer does not write regurgitated content from an original article they have previously written unless they have something new to add.

What does it mean to regurgitate your own articles?
It’s an article you have previously written and then it’s rewritten with the same ideas, points and tips. Rearranging of paragraphs and changing sentences around also falls under the regurgitated category.

It’s okay to use this method if you plan to use the similar articles in two different places like on your website and to an article directory, but it’s not wise to submit both articles to the same place.

Here are two examples describing article rehashing with the third example showing how it should be done properly.

Example: Original Article
Data entry jobs are hard to find. If data entry jobs ask for registration or training material fees, they are most likely scams. Real data entry jobs ask for a cover letter and resume. You also go through an interview process. This is how you can distinguish between real data entry work and a scam.

Example: Article 2
The most sought after work at home job is data entry, but be careful of the ones who ask for money for registration or other fees as they are not legitimate. True data entry job openings go through the traditional application process of sending in a resume and getting an interview. If you don’t see or they don’t ask for these requirements, then it’s most likely a scam.
