2 Tips for Growing your Business

Monday, July 16th, 2012

Growing a business on your own may work until you reach a point where you stop growing. The main reason you’ll stop growing is because you need to put more time into it, but if you’re trying to do it all, you don’t have more time. When this happens, you must come up with a solution to this time problem.

One way to do it is to eliminate certain things from either your business or your personal life. If you eliminate things from your personal life, you might include not watching as much television, working while you watch television, or sleeping less. While these may work for you, spending less time doing those things might also take away from spending time with your family and that’s not a good thing at all.

Another way to find more time to work your business is to find a way to have the things done with your business that are important, but not do them yourself. The only way to make this happen is to hire someone to help you. Outsourcing certain tasks with your business is the perfect solution. Click here to read an article I wrote on tasks you can outsource to a Virtual Assistant.

If you find you need more time to work the important tasks that go along with your business, you need to consider outsourcing tasks to a Virtual Assistant or Ghostwriter. When you do this, you’ll find the time you need will be there and you won’t be forced to either eliminate certain things in your business and you won’t lose family time.

Article marketing is one of the best ways to grow your business. It’s easy to do and when used regularly you’ll see the growth you want to achieve with this tool.

The reason you’ll see growth with article marketing is due to the trust you’ll build with them. When people read articles and blog posts written and published they feel it must be good or it wouldn’t be there. They feel they can trust the author because they wouldn’t be writing articles and blog posts if they didn’t know what they’re talking about.

If you’re thinking about using article marketing it’s important to choose topics that fit your business and it’s important to write about topics you have knowledge on and feel comfortable talking about. This will help you to feel comfortable writing and submitting to. If you don’t feel at ease it will show in your articles and that’s not good.

Three Mistakes That Can Get Your Newsletter Trashed or Trash Your Responses

Sunday, June 3rd, 2012

Don’t let your email newsletter get tossed into the virtual trash can before it’s opened, or lead your customers to the wrong place when they’re ready to purchase. Be sure you aren’t making these three common mistakes.

1) A non-descriptive or vague “From” line

Don’t put “newsletter” in the “from” line. No one will know which newsletter it is! How likely are you to open a newsletter if you don’t know who it’s from?

Instead, use the title of your newsletter or your business name so people know right away who the newsletter is from.

2) A generic subject line

“May Newsletter” isn’t a very interesting subject line. Make sure your subject line grabs attention and provides a glimpse of what’s inside so readers will open it to read more. Try using the title of an article in the newsletter, a tip from the article, or an intriguing question. Watch your open rates as you experiment with different subject lines to see what your readers are most interested in.

3) Bad links

Did you Work your Business on Mother’s Day?

Monday, May 14th, 2012

Taking time off is very important when you own a business. You’re the only one to work your business and make it what it is, but it’s also important to take time off to do the things you want to do.

Mother’s Day was this past weekend and if you didn’t take time off to be with your family, then you’re working your business too much. It’s important for you to remember taking one day off isn’t going to make or break your business.

If you’re struggling to realize this, you need time off now more than you ever did before. If you don’t feel you can make this happen, you need to take a good hard look at your business to make sure you’re doing everything you need to do and eliminate the things that aren’t necessary. You also may need to consider outsourcing certain tasks to a Virtual Assistant or Ghostwriter to help you with important tasks.

If you don’t take time off you can feel overwhelmed or you can feel stressed and that can be damaging to your business. It’s not worth it for that to happen when you can take time off here and there to relieve those feelings.

It’s not too late for you to start taking the time off from your business. Take a couple hours off to go play with the kids or to attend their end of the school year functions. Once you see how great it feels, you’ll see it’s right and you’ll figure out what it takes to make it happen regularly. When you make this happen you’ll see how important it is to continue to make it happen and you’ll see that your business will be better off for it in the long run.
