Two Tips to Help You Build Trust

Tuesday, May 24th, 2011

Article marketing is important for all business owners to use on a regular basis. Articles are the best way to build trust with your readers and it’s a good way to show them you’re an expert in your field. Here are two tips to make your articles the best they can be.

  1. PEN Names

A PEN name is a name associated with your articles. It may be your real name or it may be a name you’ve made up, but most of the time this is your real name. Book authors are generally the ones that change their names to be safe, but there are others and there is nothing wrong with them. The best thing you can do is make sure you stick to the same name every time you write an article.

  1. Bio

Your bio is the area where you can advertise your business and to show people why you care about them and how your business can help them. Your website link is a must in your bio as it’s the only way people will know how to find you. It’s also a must to include your name. This is another way to build trust with your readers.

These two tips will help you to make your articles work for you when it comes to the trust factor. They will show your readers who you are and that you’re the one to trust and to use whenever they need what you offer.

2 Tips for Losing Weight

Tuesday, May 10th, 2011

Weight loss is not easy for anyone. You may think at first you’re able to lose the weight fast, but as time goes on you’ll find the weight will come off slower and slower and you may also find you are in a rut after a certain amount of time.

There are several things you need to remember when it comes to weight loss. The first and most important thing is to not think of yourself on a diet but think about it as a lifestyle change. If you lose all the weight you set out to achieve and then go back to the way you were eating before you’re going to gain all the weight back and then some. When you realize it’s a lifestyle change you’ll maintain the weight once it’s gone.

The other thing that’s important to remember is to exercise. You can eat healthy all the time, but if you don’t exercise the weight will not come off as easily. Exercise doesn’t have to be boring and hard for you to do on a regular basis. What you need to do is find something you enjoy and then do that exercise as often as possible. You can join a gym or find a program you can use from home. The important thing is to find something you enjoy and stick to it.

When you lose the weight you need to lose you’ll feel better and have more energy. You’ll find you want to do more and you’ll get more done in a day. You won’t have problems health wise and if you currently do, they may just go away. If you currently have medical concerns, you need to communicate with your doctor before you go on a diet to make sure you choose the one that’s best for you.

Two Tips to Make a True Vacation a Reality

Tuesday, April 19th, 2011

Summer is fast approaching and that means time off. Time off to be with the kids and vacations. When you run a business it can be hard to take time off. Mainly because when you don’t work you don’t make money.

There are two things you can do to make sure the money continues to come in even while you’re on vacation or off spending time with the kids. These things may be a little bit of a struggle to make it happen, but it will be worth it when you have money coming in while you’re gone.

The first thing you need to do is make a to-do list of all things that need to be done while you’re gone. Put them in order of due date and importance. This will help you to remember everything you need to do and what’s very important and must be done before you leave. If you have things that can wait until you get back you should put those at the end. That way if you run out of time all the important things will be done.

The second thing you need to do is to plan your days so you know exactly what needs to be done each day so you make sure you get your work completed. You may need to extend your working time or you may need to work on days you don’t normally work. This will help you achieve your goals and get your work done so your vacation can truly be a vacation.

When you put these two things to work for you, you’ll have the ability to make your vacation a true vacation. To make your time off even better, it’s a good idea to not even take your computer with you. This will prevent you from thinking you need to check the emails and respond to them rather than waiting until you get home.

2 Tips for Making “ME” Time when You Work from Home

Tuesday, March 29th, 2011

We’ve had quite the discussion on Facebook over the past few days regarding “me” time. Most work from home moms struggle to make time for themselves because they spend their waking hours doing things for their family and working their business. It’s one of those things that we all do, but we need to make time for ourselves so we don’t get overwhelmed or stressed.

There are a number of ways you can make yourself do “me” time, but they may not all work for you, so you need to find what works and then do it. Here are two tips that work for me.

Schedule the Time

I struggled to make “me” until I started scheduling it into my day. It was like I had to do it at that point. It was almost as if I would forget I wanted to do it, but I wouldn’t forget it when it was on the calendar.

Have your Friends Help You

When I schedule time I enjoy doing things with my mom and my sister. Schedule time with them and then you won’t be able to back out of it so easily. Depending on what you do and how often you schedule your “me” time you might want to consider scheduling this time a couple a month.

These are just two of the many things you can do to make sure you schedule “me” time for yourself on a regular basis. These work for me and I use them often. Now find what works for you and get that “ME” time scheduled today! You deserve it.

Two Tips for Writing the Best Bio for Your Article

Tuesday, March 22nd, 2011

We’ve been talking a lot about bio’s this month and for a very important reason. Your bio is the only way your readers will be able to find you so it’s important to have one on every single article you submit.

Here are two tips that you need to put into action with each bio you write.

Write your bio to match your article. Your bio is the only place you can advertise your business so it’s important you include a sentence or two describing how you can help your reader with the information included in your article.

When you include links in your bio you need to make sure they work. If you use html code in your bio it’s easy to make a mistake and send your readers to a page that doesn’t exist.

Writing articles is the best way to grow your business and your bio plays an important part in that task. When you use these tips each time you write a bio for an article you’ll have a better chance of people visiting your website and that’s what it’s all about.

2 Tips for Working Your Business During a Snow Day

Tuesday, February 8th, 2011

winter spiritToday is a really snowy day and in a lot of places they’ve canceling school because of the cold temps and the amount of snow. We had four inches of snow fall in about four hours time. That’s a lot of snow in a short amount of time. Communities back East have had something like 13 snow days so far. All I can say about that is WOW!

Two Article Marketing Tips to Help You Succeed

Tuesday, January 11th, 2011

2 tips TuesdayWhen you write articles, it’s important you use a certain format so readers find them easy to read and you’ll have a better chance of having more viewers due to the search engines. To make your articles the best they can be, you need to do several things, but there are two that stand out pretty high.

One is the format. It’s easier to read three to four sentence paragraphs then it is to read a paragraph that’s seven to nine sentences in length. Keep your sentences detailed but short in length and they’ll find it’s easier on their eyes and they’ll be able to keep reading.

Search engines are great for article marketing. They help your readers find your articles, so it’s important you write your articles in a way that will help the search engines pick up your articles and help your readers find them easier.

Don’t overload your articles with keywords, but it’s also important you have enough of them in the article. A good rule of thumb is to place the keyword in the title, the first sentence of the first paragraph, the last sentence of the last paragraph, and two or three more times throughout the body depending on the length of your article.

So as you can see, these two tips will help you succeed in your marketing efforts, both through the ease of your readers and them wanting to come back for more and the keyword usage and where you place them. When you have success with your article marketing you’ll increase the success with your business.

5 Tips for Setting Goals for the New Year

Tuesday, November 30th, 2010

2 tips TuesdayToday is Tuesday and it’s time for Tuesday’s Thoughts. Today’s post has been a hard one to write. I’ve had so many different things going through my head that it’s hard to know what to write about.

I’ve been thinking about the things I want to accomplish in the last 31 days of the year and what I want my goals to be for the New Year. I have so many thoughts running through my head that it feels like my head’s going to explode. LOL

I have so many things I want to do with my VA business, my Ghostwriting business, and of course WAHM-Articles. I just don’t know where to start, so I think I need to just sit down and do some thinking to make this happen.

Here’s my plan.

1. Write everything down that comes to mind, no matter if it’s good, bad, or incomplete.

2. Once step one is done I’ll try to determine what I want to accomplish and what can wait for a while.

3. Once step two is done I’ll move on to determining what it will take to accomplish each one of them. This step may take some time so I’ll need to take that into consideration.

4. Step four will require determining the time frame for completing each project. This will also help me decide if I can accomplish the ones I chose or if I need to make some changes.

5. The final step is to write out the goals and everything it will take to accomplish them. I’ll need to set deadlines as well and that will come in this final step.

I really think if I follow these steps I’ll be able to figure out what I want to do with each of my businesses. I also think I’ll be able to reach my goals with this plan.

What do you do to reach your goals? Please share your thoughts in the comments below.

Blessings,

Two Tips for Finding the Right Article Directories

Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010

2 tips TuesdayYou can submit your articles to the best directories on the internet, but if they don’t reach your target market it won’t do you a bit of good. Page rank and the number of articles submitted to the directory mean nothing when the readers are not within your target market area.

Just because a directory has a category that fits your article topic, doesn’t mean your target market will see it. It’s critical you find directories that reach out to your target market. Here are two tips that will help you find the directories that will meet your needs and help you get the exposure you desire.

The first thing you need to do is search for article directories based on keywords that are in line with your target market. These keywords need to be the ones your market uses in searches themselves.

Article directories use keywords so they come up in the search engines, so when you use those same keywords these directories will come up. Often times you’ll also see this information on the directories or you’ll have the ability to ask the owner for that information.

The second thing you need to do to find article directories that are in line with your target market is to do a search for others that are within that market. Either search for business owners that have the same target market as you or search for articles that are related to your target market.

Choosing the right article directory is important. If you choose the wrong directory your articles will sit in limbo and not do you any good. Article marketing is a way to show your readers you’re an expert in your field and that won’t happen if you choose the wrong directory. So it’s important you choose directories that will be regularly visited by your target market. When you do this you’ll reach success with your articles.

Blessings,
