Tell me Thursday – July 19, 2012

The Wordless Wednesday post I shared yesterday was for the social networking site, Twitter. This site is a good way for people to share what they offer, communicate with others, and meet potential customers. Read on for more information on this great social networking site and how it can help you grow your business. If you missed the picture, click here to view it.

Growing a business online is not as easy as some people may think. It’s difficult to build trust when people can shake your hand and meet you face to face. Since those important things aren’t possible, you must build trust in other ways and one of the best and easiest ways to do that is through Twitter.

Twitter is a messenger type platform. It is much the same as Yahoo Messenger or Skype. What you type into the box and send is immediately visible by your followers. This is good because it gives you the ability to put messages out there that may be time sensitive.

When Twitter is used properly you’ll find it will be easier for you to grow your business. If you only make business related posts you are wasting your time and that’s not good. It’s important to build trust and that’s done when you communicate with your followers and you show them you’re not all about business, but you care about others as well.

When you use Twitter for both your business and personal needs you’ll find your business will grow and you’ll see success. When you do this people will see you’re a real person and really needs, wants, and desires. That’s the best way to grow.

If we’re not following each other, let’s do that now. My profile on Twitter is @WAHMArticles and you can share your profile link in the comments if you choose.

The Wordless Wednesday post I shared yesterday was for the social networking site, LinkedIn. This site is a way for people to share their resume’ online. Read on for more information on this great social networking site and how you can use it to grow your home business. If you missed the picture, click here to view it.

LinkedIn is a resume’ type site that was thought to be for professional people looking for jobs, but it’s now much more than that. It can be used by anyone and everyone. It doesn’t matter if you used to work a job and now own a home business, if you’ve never had a home business, or if you’ve never worked a job, but have always had a home business. You still have the ability to create a profile and include your information.

Growing your business is easier to do when you use LinkedIn to show off what you currently do and what you’ve done in the past. You’ll have the ability to list all of the tasks you can perform, you can have people recommend you, and you can link your blog to your profile so they have the ability to see what you’re doing.

If you’ve never used LinkedIn or set up a profile only to let it go because you weren’t looking for a job outside the home, you need to go and update it and then use it to your advantage. You can use it to grow your business and the best thing about it is it’s FREE to do.

The Wordless Wednesday post I shared yesterday was for a program called “Blogsvertise”. This site is a way for bloggers to make money using their blog. Read on for more information on this great program and how you can use it to increase your income. If you missed the picture, click here to view it.

Earning money to support your family or to pay for something special may not be easy to do. You may have limited time to work a business or you may be doing everything you can and it’s just not quite enough. There’s nothing worse than being just a bit short each month.

I ran across a way to make extra money and you’ll be helping others at the same time. This program is called Blogsvertise and it’s a great way to use your blog to earn extra money. While it’s not going to be enough money to completely support your family with, it will help when you need a little more at the end of the month.

Blogsvertise is easy to do and you’ll have the ability to make money based on blog posts you write. They give you the details on what you need to write about and when you write it and submit the post information, you’ll receive payment 30 days after it’s approved. They give you everything you need, so all you have to do is either write the post or add it to your blog if it’s a guest post. The great thing about Blogsvertise is you have the ability to decline any post you choose and you’re not penalized for doing so.

Your blog can earn you money when you use Blogsvertise to promote other business owners information. You’ll receive payments every 30 days for posts made and approved. What easier way to earn an income and help others at the same time, then to use Blogsvertise to make it happen.

Tell me Thursday – April 19

The Wordless Wednesday post I shared yesterday was for a new program called “Code Red”. This site will help you receive notices when several weather hits your area or a child is missing. Read on for more information on this program and how it can help you protect your family. If you missed the picture, click here to view it.

Have you ever been in a situation where there was bad weather and you had no idea it was coming? For example did you have no warning the last time a tornado or several thunder storm hit your area? Protecting yourself and your family takes precedence over anything else, but that’s hard to do if you have no warning.

What happens if you’re working along in your business and you have the television and radio off because they’re distractions and a severe storm hits? Since you were working hard and left the distractions off so you could focus you had no idea. In our city we have the warning sirens, but they don’t really do you any good because you can’t understand what they say. I guess it’s a good thing though because you hear them and then you turn on the radio or television to see what’s going on.

There’s a new way to receive notice if there is a severe storm headed your way. It has to do with all the latest technology and the way people communicate. It’s called your phone. Now I know you might think that’s funny, but this program is great. You sign up for it and when there is a severe weather alert or a missing child in your area you’ll receive notice of it. You can add your phone, cell, and email and when something happens, you’ll receive notice by a prerecorded message on your phone, a text through your cell, and an email.

This new program is called Code Red and let me tell you it’s awesome. It’s important to know as far ahead of time as possible when bad weather is going to hit and with this new program it’ll happen. You’ll be able to understand what’s going on and how to handle it. Make sure you get this information added so you can protect yourself and your family the next time a severe storm hits your area. Click here to visit the Code Red site.

The Wordless Wednesday post I shared yesterday was the PLR for Christians website. If you missed the picture, click here to view it.

Content is the key to a good website, article, or blog post. Without it you have nothing and that’s not good for business. You need to have content so your readers, website viewers, and your market will know what you’re about and how you can help them.

When you find you don’t know what to write, you don’t have time to write from scratch, or you need something quick, you need something to help you. One of the best ways to do this is to use PLR articles. PLR stands for Private Label Rights and this means you purchase the article and it’s yours to do what you want with.

You need to rewrite them so the content is yours and not the same as everyone else that buys the packs. Changing the articles will help you to have original content for your site or blog. Original content is very important to the spiders that crawl sites for Google and other search engines.

When you’re looking for well written PLR articles from a site you can trust, you need to go with PLR for Christians. You won’t have to worry about whether or not the information used in the articles is in line with your own Christian morals, beliefs, and convictions. Knowing the articles you purchase will be good quality and trustworthy will make it easier to purchase.

For more information on the PLR packs offered, click here.

The Wordless Wednesday post I shared yesterday was the “Coups for Troops” website. If you missed the picture, click here to view it.

Coups For Troops was created by a stay-at-home mom, trying to save money for her family by couponing. Being a strong supporter of the US military, she wanted to assist those that serve.

At Coups For Troops, our goal is to help make the lives of soldiers and their families a little easier by shipping coupons right to their door.

Commissaries overseas accept manufacturer coupons up to six months past expiration. You can help by adopting a military family through our Direct Mail program or by sending your coupons to our satellite location closest to you.

Tell Me Thursday – October 27

The Wordless Wednesday post I shared yesterday is a picture of my friend Colleen Bain and her daughter Shannon. If you missed the picture, click here to view it.

When Shannon was 11 months old she was diagnosed with Opsoclonus Myoclonus Syndrome (OMS) which attacks her brain. She started speech, occupational, and physical therapies immediately because the OMS completely stripped her of all learning skills. And, of course, lack of learning skills meant that she would have learning problems when she went to school.

Like every other parent of a child with disabilities, we sought every possible therapy that might cure Shannon and help her learn. They could not understand why Shannon was not learning and progressing in school. They never knew the real problem was that our child had very weak learning skills (cognitive skills). Later, they realized that Shannon did not have adequate memory, attention, or visual and auditory processing to learn efficiently.

Shannon was diagnosed in September 2011 as being in an active relapse with Opsoclonus Myoclonus Syndrome (OMS) which attacks her brain. This means she will undergo more treatments and numerous trips to doctor’s in a different state.

For her parents this means a lot of money will be spend on her care and Colleen will have little time to work her business. Their money is dwindling fast and so they’re asking for your help. Here is a fundraiser page where you’ll be able to donate money and read all about Shannon. You’ll see a video with Shannon as the star and you’ll be able to read comments made by others.

Colleen and Tom could really use your help during this difficult time. In any other situation they would never dream of asking others for help, but the medical expenses for Shannon will cost them a lot more than what they have even though they have insurance. If you can find it in your heart and your wallet to help, click here today.
