With all the social networking sites that are well established today online; the marketing techniques are essentially right in front of you. Think about it, there is no charge to join these social medias. However, there are learning curves to them.

Guest Post – The Top 30 Tips and Benefits Of Walking For Your Life

Friday, July 20th, 2012

The benefits of walking are two-fold! Have you ever really thought about them?

Brisk activity is excellent for the heart, brain, muscles, blood flow, digestive tract, and many, many other things. A brisk walk every day is just a nice healthy thing that you choose to do for yourself and your over-all health. Even just walking at a normal pace is highly beneficial.

Walking does a body good at any age and it’s never, ever too late to start doing it on a daily basis.

Warning Tip: Of course if it’s summer time and the temperature is in the triple digits (right now for us), or even 85 and above, one should use caution. This goes double for the elderly. You could walk in the very early morning hours or in late evening to avoid the heat and sun.

You could also invest in a good treadmill and do the walking indoors. :)

Another Tip: Before you start on a walking regimen, always do light stretching exercises before and after. This decreases the risk of any injuries.

Below are the 30 benefits of walking.

Work At Home Jobs: The Top Questions and Answers

Saturday, June 16th, 2012

It’s natural for a new work at home job seeker to have tons of questions before they begin their search, and also often during their search. There are scams scattered everywhere you look on the Internet and one has to be extra cautious.

Perhaps a job seeker has already been scammed and wants to be reassured they won’t be a victim again? Or maybe they just need to know exactly where to start? The answers to the below questions and the following tips will help.

Q – Do I have to have experience in order to work at home?

A – For work at home in general, one does have to have basic Internet navigation skills and basic typing skills. For a lot of the telecommute jobs that are available, one does have to have certain skill sets. However, it depends on which company you are applying for as to what skills you need to get the job. For each job listed, it usually states “specifics of experience needed” and often times will require a resume from you. A few of the companies will train you on the job and if so, it will be stated on the company’s website. Also some of the companies will require you to train on site for so many months of said company before you are allowed to work at home.

Q – Can I make enough money to pay my bills from working at home?

A – Yes, it certainly is possible. For telecommute jobs, it all depends on what company you apply for. The pay varies for each job/company. For best results and if possible, try to work for more than one company to help secure your income.

Q – Does a telecommute company require any fees to get started working?

Guest Post – Why I Work From Home – The Whole Truth And My Story

Wednesday, June 13th, 2012

The work at home opportunities are boundless on the net today. So many legitimate ways to make money from home. The reasons why people choose a home office environment varies from person to person. Of course those reasons depend on the person’s responsibilities, lifestyles, and home-life situations. It depends on personality as well.

I love my short (16 step, yes I counted them) commute to my work at home office each morning. It took me awhile to get where I am today in the work at home industry; and all the while making a nice income to supplement my dear husband’s salary.

There are good reasons why I specifically chose to work at home.

This article will be quite personal and will be unveiling a few things about myself to my business associates. It may convey a few things about my personality that may surprise some of you, and for some, it may not.

Below will reveal why I don’t like working outside the home.

Bullying…Been There – Yes, I’ve been bullied. I know that I’m NOT the only one in this world that has been made fun of, picked on, and been humiliated among school mates. Alas, it sure felt like I was the only one (at the time). Consequently from this point on (during grade school), and thus throughout my whole life; I have been painfully shy and also never seemed to possess a good sense of self esteem. This followed me into highschool and my adult life, and as a result; depression has settled in. I can’t say for sure if being bullied was the sole reason for my depression. It also runs in my family, so it could be a combination of both.

Unfortunately, I’ve also discovered that bullying can happen online. I ask myself what does a person gain from being a bully? I guess a bullier gets a false sense of well-being and satisfaction by belittling others. I’m assuming it makes them feel good as a person inside?? If you ask me, it’s a very warped sense of well-being to treat others in this way. If bullying makes someone feel good inside, then there is something terribly wrong with (their self esteem).

Guest Post – Work At Home Health Tips – Keeping The Mind And Body Active

Thursday, May 17th, 2012

Work at home jobs or home businesses has many benefits, that is a given. However, like many have experienced; working from the comfort of your home office has a few cons attached to it. Among the many work from home cons include non-school age children home with you all day, isolation, interruptions by family members and friends, no employment benefits and balancing your family and social life with your work life.

And those are just for starters. There are others depending on your situation and lifestyle. However have you thought about the health risks that go along with working at home? Yes, there are indeed many!

1. Your Eyes – Have you thought about your eyes while staring at a computer screen 8 to 10 hours per day? I’m affected, and my last eye exam proved it. My eye doctor could tell (just by my examination) what I did for employment. My eyes paid the price with me needing bifocals. I can imagine what my next appointment will be like. It will probably be trifocals. I can sure feel it …I have to strain more while tilting my head backward; and my eye doctor told me I’d be doing that more and more as time went on.

There is something you can do for this, and I can tell you it works. My eye doctor told me to take several small breaks each day, he said at least 4 times every day that I work. He told me to stop working and walk out on my porch and look out as far as the eyes can see. This gives the eyes a nice break several times a day. Your eyes are important to you, take the short time it takes to do this, and you will feel the affects of it more than you might think.

2. Exercise and Circulation – Sitting in your office every day is not good for your circulation, or your brain for that matter. You need some kind of activity to keep your muscles and joints moving and active. I start out my days with an aerobic video workout. It’s a 48 minute workout (including a warm up and cool down). I follow that workout with abdominal crunches. I feel awesome after my workouts. Walking is also good to stay fit. It would be a good idea to take two separate breaks from your online work to take short walks outdoors, (weather permitting of course). Also a treadmill is something to consider when the weather is bad.

3. Isolation – Isolation is often something that many of us experience when we decide to work from home.. For the most part, you are alone while working unless perhaps one of your kids are home from school on a holiday or he or she is sick. Although for many moms out there, it’s normal to have your kids around you. You need to get out with friends and family for various activities, even it it’s for a lunch or dinner. It can also be just for a cup of coffee and a good talk.

Your Work At Home Office, What Inspires You?

Thursday, May 3rd, 2012

Look around you…what do you see around your work at home office? What is around your desk? Is there a window in your office? Is your office tidy and organized? What inspires you?

The following are some inspirational ideas you may or may not have thought of…

My work at home office is where I spend approximately forty five or more hours every week. That is a lot of hours to be confined to just one room. So…what inspires me that I am surrounded with in my home office?

Well, I have a lot of photos of my son that sit on top of my desk. Those are a real inspiration to me. Throughout my day, I take little breaks and look up at them. A flood of memories go through my mind…good ones. These are good thoughts and they help keep me motivated.

I also have a framed poem sitting on my desk. It is titled; “To Those I love.” This framed jewel was given to me by my Sister. It was from my Mother, whom has passed on. My Mother always gave me a lot of support with my online business. And all I have to do is look up at that frame and read it, and it gives me all the inspiration I need to get me through my day.

A couple of scented candles also sit on my desk. I light these regularly. My favorite scents…Cherry Plums and Lavender.

Frugal Lifestyle Tips: 21 Simple Ways To Save Money

Friday, April 27th, 2012

Financial debt can certainly consume you in more ways that one. It can rob you of sleep, it can cause major anxiety, it can interfere in your marriage, and it can cause you a severe bout of depression. While some of these go hand in hand, there are a growing number of financial debt affects that can result in an unhealthy lifestyle.

With the worldwide failing economy, there has to be certain things we can do to alleviate some of that burden. Well, there are quite a few practical money saving tips that can economically benefit you and your family. Let’s take a look at some of those things.

1) Drink Water: The beverage you drink on a daily basis should be water. Not only will this save you money, but consuming at least 8 full glasses of water each day is extremely healthy for you.

2) Eat Out Less: Stay at home and cook more often verses going out to eat. You can still have that scheduled Friday or Saturday night evening out, but otherwise stick to cooking at home more throughout the week and you will be surprised at how much you save in a year’s time.

3) Ditch That Daily Morning Latte: You know that daily morning latte that you think you have to have on the way back home from taking the kids to school? Ditch that, you don’t need it. Make your own at home and you’ll save a bundle in just a month’s time.

4) Dryer Vent Seal: Make for sure your clothes dryer has a dryer vent seal. This is an air leakage control device. We have one on ours and it’s definitely a money saver.

5) Grocery Shopping Online: Try doing your grocery shopping online. Sometimes you are able to save a considerable amount of your hard-earned dollars by doing this. An added plus, you will save on gas and time as well.

Any successful online business owner will tell you that it takes time, hard work, motivation, and constant perseverance to make a home business work. If you don’t apply these elements, then you are doomed for failure…it’s that simple. Money will not just fall into your lap. You will not make money overnight.

Guest Post – 3 Legitimate Transcription Job Sites For Newbie Homeworkers

Thursday, March 15th, 2012

I’ve had various people to email me asking for work at home job opportunities for newbies. I always try and help and guide them as best I can. That is my business; to help the average work at home opportunity seeker find a legitimate way to make money from home. For most newbies, this can be a daunting task. Simply because they don’t know where to even start their search.

Well, I’m about to make the life of a newbie online job seeker a little less difficult. However, there is one area you will need to have a skill. With general transcription jobs, you will need to have good and accurate typing skills. And let’s face it, anyone can acquire accurate typing skills. It’s called practice. There is a lot of free software out there that will teach you how to type accurately, and also increase your speed.

Below are 3 work at home transcription job sites for newbies

Are these sites always hiring and do they pay good? This is something YOU will have to find out for yourself by contacting the right person within the transcription websites. However, I will say this; the bulk of these sites below do not pay enough to make (each one) a good source of full time income. Although, you can work for all three and make enough to supplement your income nicely.

1. http://www.scribie.com/
They pay is $10 per audio hour and with Paypal

2. http://www.quicktate.com/
Payment will range from 1/4 to 1/2 cent per word and payout is with Paypal

3. http://www.accutranglobal.com/jobs.html
According to your availability, they pay anywhere from $0.005/per word and $0.0066/per word. I’ve heard pay is monthly via check or wire transfer.

I hope the right people read this article and find it to be of some help. Also know that transcription work is not for everyone. As I stated above, you will need excellent typing speed and accuracy. There are others, however, these above are the most popular and newbie user-friendly.
