Article Marketing is Crucial for any Business

Monday, April 4th, 2016

Tous ensemble !Marketing your business is something you need to do on a daily basis. There is a lot of competition these days and it’s crucial that you show your market they need to go with you over your competition.

While this is not an easy thing to do when you offer some of the same things as the big chain type companies, it is still possible. The big chain type companies have money to spend daily on advertising and marketing which is something small businesses don’t have, but it doesn’t mean you can’t compete with them.

There are many ways to market your business in a way that will make you stand out way above those big chain type companies. A lot of people would prefer to go with a small mom and pop type company rather than a large company. They prefer to support the little guy or the local guy over someone that doesn’t even live in the same community.

One of the best ways to market your business is to use article marketing. Article marketing is a form of advertising through short articles similar to blog posts. An article has a bio at the end which is basically a way to advertise your business. Article marketing is one of the best ways to gain a large number of website visitors which turns into sales. It’s also one of the cheapest forms of advertising you can use for your business.

When you use article marketing as a marketing strategy for your business you are showing your target market you are an expert in your field and that’s exactly what they are looking for when they search for something they need. Words mean a lot more to people then pictures and ads for products. Anyone can sell something, but not everyone can write articles and be an expert.

When using article marketing for your business you need to submit your articles on a regular basis to article directories. You should put buttons linking to your article profile on these directories on your website and you should also market your articles on social media sites.

It’s always a good thing to promote your articles on sites like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Linked In. These sites will help you gain even more traffic to your site and increase your sells. Every little bit helps and the more exposure you give your articles the more likely you are to succeed.

Article marketing is one of the best methods you can use when you’re trying to grow your business. If you’re not using article marketing for your business, you need to consider it today. You won’t regret the decision.

Riding the Business Wave – Will you Jump On?

Wednesday, March 30th, 2016

Business Wave ImageIt doesn’t matter if you’re interested in clothing, shoes, or business you’ll find waves come and go. Clothing styles change, the need for shoes depending on the task, or the latest and greatest way to market your business; things change with the blink of an eye.

Just today alone on Facebook I’ve seen sponsored ads come up for ways to market your business. These include seminars to take or emails you’ll receive that contain information on how to market your business. Different people teach methods that ultimately end of being for the same task, but if they word it differently you won’t know that until you get in and see what they talk about.

This is exactly what they want. They want to stand out so they seem different and new to the average person scrolling through their news feed on Facebook or looking through their email. If you were to click on multiples to see how they can help you increase traffic to your site and grow your business, then each one of them has succeed. You need this too!

More than likely, you aren’t the only one in the world that offers the products or services you offer, so it’s important to do everything you can to show others you’re the one they should go with for their needs. This is where the business wave comes into play.

If you think about a wave in the ocean, most of them are long and are visible for a long period of time before the die out and fade away. This is how you want your business marketing wave to look like as well. You want to be a higher wave then the others and you want your information to be visible for a long period of time. That’s why it’s important to create a way for those that click through to maintain the information you provide to them.

That’s one reason why marketing taking time. While it’s easy to make Twitter posts or Facebook posts or ads, it’s not that easy when you’re trying to keep that wave going. You should write ebooks, special reports, create emails, and come up with seminars people can attend. This will give you the advantage over others because the information will be at their fingertips any time they need it and you’ll continually be in front of them. They’ll never forget what you offer and will always feel like you can help them get the job done.

Take the time you need to come up with a marketing plan that will draw in your market and keep them there forever. Create things that will help keep your business wave high and long so they know you’re there for the long hall and won’t be going anywhere in the near future. Show them you’re the business wave they want to ride.

10 Tips to Help Grow your Business During Slow Times

Tuesday, March 15th, 2016

marketingGrowing your business can be a challenge during certain times of the year. You may find the summer months along with the holiday season can make it difficult to grow. People use extra money to go on vacation or to purchase gifts which leaves them with little extra money for the things that aren’t a major necessity.

Depending on what type of business you run, you may not be a necessity to some people. To change this, you need to show them your business and what you offer is a necessity that they must have. This is where marketing comes into play. You must market your business all year long, but you must add a little more during the times when business is slow.

While social media is one of the best avenues you can use to market your business, there are a few other things you can do to help grow your business. Here are a few to consider.

1. Contests
2. Give-aways
3. Freebies
4. Package discounts
5. Membership discounts
6. Include a flyer or business card with every order
7. Create a survey with a freebie when it’s completed
8. Create an affiliate program
9. Send out newsletters regularly
10. Sponsor a local event

These are just a few of the things you can do to help grow your business during slow months. Keep in mind; you don’t have to stop these once business increases. You can continue to use these suggestions all year long and have a successful business all year long.

The important thing to remember is you never want to stop marketing your business. Continually putting your business in front of others is how you build trust and when that is built, you won’t have to worry about people not wanting to purchase from you due to fear.

Internet Marketing… Will Growth Happen Fast?

Sunday, January 31st, 2016

marketingWhen you run an online business, trust is one of the most important things you can do to grow. People trust local businesses because they can physically walk into a store, see products, and talk to people. You don’t have that with an online business, so you must use the internet to grow.

Internet marketing isn’t easy because you have to gain the trust of people through words and images. While it’s a good way to expose your business to people all over the world, you must choose your words and images wisely. You must prove to them you’re an expert, a real person, and one they can trust and you must do it without them physically seeing your products or speaking to you.

One of the best ways to do that is to continually put your business in front of them. The catch is you don’t want to do it too much or they’ll get tired of it and they won’t look at what you have to offer. So what is the right amount of posts? That’s the hardest part of making internet marketing work.

Some experts will tell you to go hog wild with your posts. Just get your business in front of them and don’t worry about the number of times a day you do it. Others will say you need to make one business post for every three personal posts you make. There is really no right or wrong answer because each person and business is different.

The best thing to do is come up with an internet marketing plan, follow it for a month with no changes, and then check the statistics from your site and see if it worked. If you’re not happy with the number of sales, document your stats and change things up a bit.

The important thing to remember is you must give it time. It’s not going to happen overnight and it’s not going to happen in a few days. If you decide to make changes it’s a good idea to only change one thing at a time. That way you’ll know what works. If you change multiple things you won’t know which one made you reach success.

Remember, internet marketing is not easy and takes time, but once you find the right fit for your business you’ll begin to see growth and success. The most important thing to remember is don’t give up!

10 Major Online Marketing Mistakes

Monday, July 29th, 2013

Online marketing, also called internet marketing is forever evolving and if you own an online business you need to keep abreast of all the options available to you and your business. Building a business is a learning process and we all will make mistakes. The main thing is to learn from our mistakes so as not to make them again. In my years of online marketing I have learned a lot and want to share with you, what I think, are 10 of the major online marketing mistakes.

1. Not Collecting Email Addresses – Have you ever heard the statement, the money is in the list? Your list can be your goldmine. If you are not collecting email addresses, you need to start now. Put a sign-up form on your site so people can sign up to your mailing list, newsletter, RSS, articles, etc. Offer them a free bonus for signing up. You will be able to collect a list of names with which to send your special offers, sales, etc. and greatly increase your income potential. Be sure to include an opt-out in all mailings. This will give your subscribers the chance to remove themselves from your mailing list if they so choose. Also, never add a person’s email address to your list without their permission.

2. Not Being Social – Social networking has exploded on the internet. Millions of people use Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and many other popular sites. If you are not using these sites for your business, you are making a grave error. People will be finding other businesses and not even know you or your business exist.

If you are not yet social, start now by opening an account on the top three:

Facebook
Twitter
LinkedIn

Website Traffic Secrets – I Have None

Wednesday, April 10th, 2013

I have no website traffic secrets. Now, where have I heard that before in my work at home travels? Ahh yes, I remember it well. A dear friend of mine told me this when I had asked her what website traffic secrets she harbored. While I knew she would never lie to me, still I wondered exactly what she meant, and felt the need to discuss this more. There was much more to her answer to me than, “I have no website traffic secrets.”

After a brief explanation, it was simple, however, the work is certainly not; consistent hard work while adding content to your site tailored to your audience on a daily basis. This is what it takes to yield repetitive traffic and true work at home success.

What I’m referring to is “content.” And lots of it! If you’ve competed in the marketing industry for any length of time and you own a website, then you are well aware of what I’m talking about. You’ve heard the phrase “content is king?” Well it truly is when it comes to website traffic. The more content you add, the higher your site will rank with search engines. Is Winter Back?

Tuesday, April 9th, 2013

Boy I’ll tell you what, the weather is playing games with us here in Wyoming. This is typical spring weather for us though. We had 60 degree weather over the weekend and yesterday the snow started to fly again and we have upwards of 6+ inches of snow. The wind is blowing and it’s cold outside. Yuck!

The way the weather changes in the spring reminds me of my business. The change in the weather is the same as the change in the marketing plans I need to have for my business. If you continue to do the same thing over and over you’re not going to reach out to new people and that’s not what you want.

Man people say you need to continue to do the same marketing strategies over and over so you may sure you hit the rule that says you need to place your business in front of your market five to seven times in order for them to trust you enough to see what you have to offer. While this is true, the down side is you may have to put your business in the same place hundreds if not thousands of times in order reach that one person five to seven times.

With that said, you need to find new places to place your business and you need to find new ways to market to these people. When you change things up you’ll find those people will come to you. The reason is because most people don’t only go to one place and that’s it. This is why you must change things and look for new places to market your business.

Marketing your business is important and when you think of your business like the changing of the seasons and like the changes in the weather when spring comes to town, you’ll see the importance of finding new ways and places to market your business.

Guest Post – How to Get Your Website Online Before 2012

Thursday, December 22nd, 2011

If getting your own website built and online for your work at home business was one of your goals this year, there’s still time! You can get your website online in an afternoon with these five easy steps:

1. Choose and register your domain name.

The first step is that you’ll need to decide what domain name you’d like to use. It might be www.yourname.com or www.yourbusiness.com.

2. Create your website hosting account.

You can take care of this at the same time as step 1. Companies like BlueHost and HostGator will handle both your domain registration and your website hosting account for you. It’s usually okay to go with their smallest package option. You can always upgrade later if you need to.

3. Install WordPress using Fantastico.

Once you’ve registered your domain and setup your hosting account, watch for an email from your website host letting you know that you’re ready to go. It will include a username and password for your hosting account’s cPanel where you can login and install WordPress.

4. Choose and install a theme.

WordPress makes it easy to get a professional website up and running quickly because there are thousands of free themes for you to choose from. You can browse themes at http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/ to see what’s available free.

You might also look at the premium themes from StudioPress and WooThemes.

Don’t let yourself get too stuck on choosing a theme. You’ll be able to change it later with a few clicks.

5. Create your pages and add content.

After you’ve chosen a theme, the next step is to add your content. You can do that under “Pages” -> “Add New” in your WordPress admin area.

Remember, your website will always be a work in progress and that’s okay! The sooner you get started, the sooner you’ll be online and managing your very own website.

Let Your Business Grow With Target Marketing

Saturday, January 29th, 2011

investing plansThe common belief of many small businesses is that if they market to everyone, they get greater chance of acquiring more sales. Serving to giant chunks of the market translates to unlimited market.

However, the truth is just the opposite. When you market to everyone, the only unlimited thing you will get is the number of competitors vying for the attention of your target customers. Now, succeeding in such ordeal would be extremely difficult with every other business claiming to be better than you are.

The best way to tap into your target customers is to narrow down your focus to one market niche. Consider this scenario: when you go to a car parts store, you actually go there to buy a specific car item. You may browse for a while, but will not actually buy anything you have no immediate need for. Now let us say there is a pet store next to the car parts store. Although you might sneak a peek at the store, you will probably not buy anything. The same thing would happen if you need to buy a new lovebird. You might browse through the car parts store, but won’t actually buy anything

The scenario tells us that there are two different customers shopping in each store: one that has an immediate car need, and one that needs a new pet. Each customer is different, so if you keep marketing to both customers, you are only going to exhaust yourself and your budget.
