To-Do List for the Weekend

Saturday, April 2nd, 2016

"family fishing"The weekends are for what you want to do. You could go on a long walk with your family, remodel a bathroom, or sit on the sofa and binge watch Grey’s Anatomy. No matter what you do with your weekend, it’s a time for you to relax and do what you want to do without a boss telling you to do this or that or something else.

No matter what you do, creating a plan at the beginning of the weekend is the best way to get the most completed by the end of the weekend. You’re sure to not forget something and who knows, you might even get everything accomplished then some.

I have found if I don’t make a list I feel like I don’t know what to do or what needs to get done. That’s not a good thing when you have so many things you want to get done in a short amount of time. I usually pack my weekends with family stuff which makes it hard to remember every task, every errand, and every project that needs to be done.

So when the next weekend comes along and you are feeling frustrated, lost, or feeling like you won’t be able to get anything done, consider writing out a to-do list. You may find it’s the best thing you could do.

New Month, New Goals

Friday, April 1st, 2016

Ultimate Blog Challenge ImageToday is April 1st and I just can’t believe it. The first quarter of the year is over, it’s a new month, and spring is here. How are your goals coming along? Mine are right on track and it’s a wonderful feeling.

I’ve made some changes to my goals and they’re more in line with what I want to do with my business this year. While it will be a challenge to reach all of my goals by the end of the year I know I can do it.

One of the changes I made was to the WAHM-Articles site and blog. I found there is an issue with the site itself and because of that issue I am going to have to make some changes to it. This means all of the articles currently on the site will go away. I’m sad this is happening, but at time time the site is not working.

The other change I made is to the WAHM-Articles blog. I want to update it more often and so I’ve decided to do the Ultimate Blog Challenge this month. I’m hoping to increase the traffic to the blog and add a few more sponsors to the site.

So while this is a lot of work, I know in the long run this will be an awesome experience and one I can’t wait to achieve. I’m looking forward to making daily posts and helping all of you to learn more about article marketing and running your business successfully!

Monday, January 11th, 2016

Couple Eating Dinner ImageMarriage is a tricky thing to handle. It takes two people to make it work and it takes two people to make it fail. Marriage takes a lot of hard work and it’s not easy, but if you can make it work.

During this time of year people are setting goals and working to do what they can to achieve them. What some people don’t do when they set goals is consider setting goals as a couple and a family. Sometimes these types of goals are not easy to achieve that may be why couples don’t consider setting these goals. Here are a few tips to help you set and achieve these goals.

1. Deciding on Your Goals

As a couple it’s not easy to set goals for your marriage and life together. You need to set goals that effect both of you. These could be things you want to do together as a couple such as going out on a date together once a month or going on a vacation for your wedding anniversary. Another suggestion would be things you want to do to your house or buying a new car. The most important thing to remember when setting these types of goals is they need to be for both of you and effect both of you.

2. Writing Down Your Goals

It’s important to write down your goals. Thinking you can remember them on your own will cause issues, because you’ll likely forget them. You won’t be able to write in detail what you need to do to reach your goals and you won’t be able to document your achievements. Writing down your goals will also help you to celebrate when you reach success. Celebrating is an important part of your goal. It helps you to continue on with your goals.

3. Detail

Writing down your goals isn’t enough. You need to write in detail what it will take to reach each of your goals. Sometimes there may only be one or two things to write down while other times you may have a lengthy list of things you’ll have to do to reach the end result. The important thing is you write in detail what it will take.

4. Celebrate

One of the most important things that goes along with setting goals is celebrating when you reach success. Celebrating can be as simple as turning on your favorite song and dancing to it with your spouse or something more like going to dinner or taking a vacation. The best way to celebrate is to do what makes you happy and want to continue on with your goals.

Creating goals as a couple is a good way to work together and achieve things you may have thought were impossible. It’s also possible that setting goals will help you to grow closer together in your personal lives and in your marriage. These four tips will help you to achieve the goals you set. Good luck!

Two Tips Tuesday – Reaching your New Year’s Goals

Tuesday, January 5th, 2016

2016 Goals ImageToday is January 5th and we’re well on our way into this wonderful new year. Mine will be filled with happiness and great times with my family. My oldest son will graduate from college in May and my youngest will turn 18 in September. There are so many things I’m grateful for and I’m looking forward to all of them in 2016.

I have set quite a few goals and I’m steadily working on each of them so they will be complete by the deadline I set. While goals are sometimes hard to complete, I’m going to do what it takes to complete each and every one of them this year.

In years past I’ve struggled a bit with my goals and most times I’ve completed a few, but not all of them. I’ve decided to learn from my mistakes and work toward completed all of them this year. Here are the two things I’ve decided to incorporate this year to help me reach success.

1. Write them Down

I have way too many things going through my head to remember each goal I want to complete. Not only that, but there are too many things that go with each goal to try and remember what each step is and where I’m at with each goal.

By writing them down I’ll know what I have to do to reach success with each goal and where I’m at in the process. I’ll be able to make notes and jot down things that come to mind as I go along. Once a goal is complete I’ll have the ability to mark it as complete and that will feel great! This will also help me to move on to the next goal.

2. Pray

I learned in church a few weeks ago that it doesn’t matter how small or large something is, God wants you to be successful and he wants you to have the desires of your heart. This means whatever I want, as long as I pray and ask for it, God will give it to me. If I don’t ask I won’t receive so I’ll be praying every day.

Praying each day over my business, my family, and my life will help me to achieve what I want each day. This is not something you can do when you want and when you feel the need. You need to pray every day. When God hears your desires he’ll give you what you want. He wants you to be happy, successful, and filled to the fullest with your desires.

I know if I follow these tips I’ll have a successful 2016 and it will be a year filled with accomplishments and happy times! Here’s to a wonderful and successful 2016!

Happy New Year!

Wednesday, January 1st, 2014

2013 was a rough year for me. My grandpa passed away in May, my business was busy, and I felt a bit unorganized to say the least. I feel towards the end of the year I fell apart and that’s not what I want to see happen to me. I need to pick myself up by the bootstraps and learn how to handle things a little better.

I haven’t set my goals yet, but I know there are a number of things I want to complete, things I want to start, and our oldest son will be graduating from high school and starting college so we’ll be dealing with that as well. It’s going to be a busy year, but it’s going to be a successful one because God is going to help me make it happen.

I created a word cloud that gave me some inspiration today and it made me feel so good. I wanted to share it with you because of that inspiration. I hope it helps you too.

Here’s to a great and wonderful 2014!
