To-Do List for the Weekend

Saturday, April 2nd, 2016

"family fishing"The weekends are for what you want to do. You could go on a long walk with your family, remodel a bathroom, or sit on the sofa and binge watch Grey’s Anatomy. No matter what you do with your weekend, it’s a time for you to relax and do what you want to do without a boss telling you to do this or that or something else.

No matter what you do, creating a plan at the beginning of the weekend is the best way to get the most completed by the end of the weekend. You’re sure to not forget something and who knows, you might even get everything accomplished then some.

I have found if I don’t make a list I feel like I don’t know what to do or what needs to get done. That’s not a good thing when you have so many things you want to get done in a short amount of time. I usually pack my weekends with family stuff which makes it hard to remember every task, every errand, and every project that needs to be done.

So when the next weekend comes along and you are feeling frustrated, lost, or feeling like you won’t be able to get anything done, consider writing out a to-do list. You may find it’s the best thing you could do.

8 Games you can Play with Small Children

Wednesday, January 27th, 2016

children picturesSmall children love to play games. They find it fun and a great way to keep them busy. They love it when adults play with them. As parents we may not want to play, but it’s a great way to connect with them and spend time together as a family.

There are so many games you can play with your small children. Some you may have in your home already and some may not even require a game. Here are several suggestions to consider the next time your small child asks you to play a game with them.

1. Hide N Seek
2. Solitaire
3. Board Games
4. Video Games
5. Coloring Contests
6. Word Search Contests
7. Connect the Dot Races
8. Red Rover

Depending on the age of your child, it won’t matter what game you play, they just want to be with you and have you get down to their level to play with them. Playing games with your small children can be so much fun. We’re so busy and running all the time that we forget to stop and smell the roses. Small children can help remind us that it’s ok to slow down and have fun every once in a while. Have fun!

Friday, October 23rd, 2015

Halloween Activity Guide ImageHalloween is fast approaching and for most kids the wait is terrible. They get so excited about the costume, going out to trick or treat, and eating all the wonderful candy. While putting on the costume several times a day helps a little, depending on how far ahead of time you have it that may not work for long.

WAHM-Articles created an activity guide to help your children get through the wait. Click here for access to this free activity guide. You’ll be able to print it out for your children and they’ll have pictures to color, a word scramble, and a word search to do that will keep them occupied for a while.

Enjoy!!
