Change is in the Air

Tuesday, April 19th, 2016

Change ImageUpdating and making changes can be hard when you’re a business owner trying to reach success. It can be a scary thing because you think will the changes I make be worth it, will people like them or stop visiting my site because they hate it? It’s one of the scariest things you can do, but sometimes it’s a must.

I’m in the middle of this right now with the WAHM-Articles site. The original site was created by Denise Willms back in 2006 and hasn’t changed much. The problem is the site was created with html code that doesn’t go with the newer versions of the internet. My only options were to pay to have someone update the code so it would work again or change to WordPress.

While I thought long and hard about it, I chose to change to WordPress. I love WordPress and have created many, many sites for my Virtual Assistant clients using this program. It’s easy to use and doesn’t take much knowledge or skills to get where you want. You can make it look professional and not spend a lot of time or money doing it.

So while I struggled with the choice it was one I know, in the end will be the right one. I know I’ll be able to create a site I’ll be happy with; one mom’s and other women will love to visit and one that will stand out way above the rest.

So in the meantime, keep checking back and looking at what I’ve created and don’t be afraid to message me and let me know what you’d like to see on the site. I want it to be one you’ll come back to on a daily basis for incite and help with your needs.

Article Marketing is Crucial for any Business

Monday, April 4th, 2016

Tous ensemble !Marketing your business is something you need to do on a daily basis. There is a lot of competition these days and it’s crucial that you show your market they need to go with you over your competition.

While this is not an easy thing to do when you offer some of the same things as the big chain type companies, it is still possible. The big chain type companies have money to spend daily on advertising and marketing which is something small businesses don’t have, but it doesn’t mean you can’t compete with them.

There are many ways to market your business in a way that will make you stand out way above those big chain type companies. A lot of people would prefer to go with a small mom and pop type company rather than a large company. They prefer to support the little guy or the local guy over someone that doesn’t even live in the same community.

One of the best ways to market your business is to use article marketing. Article marketing is a form of advertising through short articles similar to blog posts. An article has a bio at the end which is basically a way to advertise your business. Article marketing is one of the best ways to gain a large number of website visitors which turns into sales. It’s also one of the cheapest forms of advertising you can use for your business.

When you use article marketing as a marketing strategy for your business you are showing your target market you are an expert in your field and that’s exactly what they are looking for when they search for something they need. Words mean a lot more to people then pictures and ads for products. Anyone can sell something, but not everyone can write articles and be an expert.

When using article marketing for your business you need to submit your articles on a regular basis to article directories. You should put buttons linking to your article profile on these directories on your website and you should also market your articles on social media sites.

It’s always a good thing to promote your articles on sites like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Linked In. These sites will help you gain even more traffic to your site and increase your sells. Every little bit helps and the more exposure you give your articles the more likely you are to succeed.

Article marketing is one of the best methods you can use when you’re trying to grow your business. If you’re not using article marketing for your business, you need to consider it today. You won’t regret the decision.

Riding the Business Wave – Will you Jump On?

Wednesday, March 30th, 2016

Business Wave ImageIt doesn’t matter if you’re interested in clothing, shoes, or business you’ll find waves come and go. Clothing styles change, the need for shoes depending on the task, or the latest and greatest way to market your business; things change with the blink of an eye.

Just today alone on Facebook I’ve seen sponsored ads come up for ways to market your business. These include seminars to take or emails you’ll receive that contain information on how to market your business. Different people teach methods that ultimately end of being for the same task, but if they word it differently you won’t know that until you get in and see what they talk about.

This is exactly what they want. They want to stand out so they seem different and new to the average person scrolling through their news feed on Facebook or looking through their email. If you were to click on multiples to see how they can help you increase traffic to your site and grow your business, then each one of them has succeed. You need this too!

More than likely, you aren’t the only one in the world that offers the products or services you offer, so it’s important to do everything you can to show others you’re the one they should go with for their needs. This is where the business wave comes into play.

If you think about a wave in the ocean, most of them are long and are visible for a long period of time before the die out and fade away. This is how you want your business marketing wave to look like as well. You want to be a higher wave then the others and you want your information to be visible for a long period of time. That’s why it’s important to create a way for those that click through to maintain the information you provide to them.

That’s one reason why marketing taking time. While it’s easy to make Twitter posts or Facebook posts or ads, it’s not that easy when you’re trying to keep that wave going. You should write ebooks, special reports, create emails, and come up with seminars people can attend. This will give you the advantage over others because the information will be at their fingertips any time they need it and you’ll continually be in front of them. They’ll never forget what you offer and will always feel like you can help them get the job done.

Take the time you need to come up with a marketing plan that will draw in your market and keep them there forever. Create things that will help keep your business wave high and long so they know you’re there for the long hall and won’t be going anywhere in the near future. Show them you’re the business wave they want to ride.

Spring Cleaning Business Style

Tuesday, March 22nd, 2016

imageWhen spring rolls around a lot of people go to their homes and clean. It’s out with the old and in with the new. Wardrobes change, bedding change, and there is a lot of cleaning involved. When it’s nice the windows are open and that can cause dirt to come in or dust to come to the surface. When it’s nice outside you want to be outside so it’s best to clean the house from top to bottom so daily or weekly cleanings will be a breeze.

Your business is the same way. Change may not always be easy to handle, but it’s possible it would be for the best. You’ll find making changes with your business will allow you to help more people or give you more time to be with your family. Either way it’s a win-win for you.

Take a hard look at your business and see what changes you can make to help with your desires. Eliminate products or services that aren’t working or are time consuming to complete. Two Tips Tuesday – Reaching your New Year’s Goals

Tuesday, January 5th, 2016

2016 Goals ImageToday is January 5th and we’re well on our way into this wonderful new year. Mine will be filled with happiness and great times with my family. My oldest son will graduate from college in May and my youngest will turn 18 in September. There are so many things I’m grateful for and I’m looking forward to all of them in 2016.

I have set quite a few goals and I’m steadily working on each of them so they will be complete by the deadline I set. While goals are sometimes hard to complete, I’m going to do what it takes to complete each and every one of them this year.

In years past I’ve struggled a bit with my goals and most times I’ve completed a few, but not all of them. I’ve decided to learn from my mistakes and work toward completed all of them this year. Here are the two things I’ve decided to incorporate this year to help me reach success.

1. Write them Down

I have way too many things going through my head to remember each goal I want to complete. Not only that, but there are too many things that go with each goal to try and remember what each step is and where I’m at with each goal.

By writing them down I’ll know what I have to do to reach success with each goal and where I’m at in the process. I’ll be able to make notes and jot down things that come to mind as I go along. Once a goal is complete I’ll have the ability to mark it as complete and that will feel great! This will also help me to move on to the next goal.

2. Pray

I learned in church a few weeks ago that it doesn’t matter how small or large something is, God wants you to be successful and he wants you to have the desires of your heart. This means whatever I want, as long as I pray and ask for it, God will give it to me. If I don’t ask I won’t receive so I’ll be praying every day.

Praying each day over my business, my family, and my life will help me to achieve what I want each day. This is not something you can do when you want and when you feel the need. You need to pray every day. When God hears your desires he’ll give you what you want. He wants you to be happy, successful, and filled to the fullest with your desires.

I know if I follow these tips I’ll have a successful 2016 and it will be a year filled with accomplishments and happy times! Here’s to a wonderful and successful 2016!

Is your “Why” Lost?

Friday, October 30th, 2015

question mark 14Working at home is very rewarding when you have your childr by your side and you’re able to make the money you need to support your family. It gives you a feeling of accomplishment and it shows you’re able to stay organized and you know how to get things done.

Whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been working at home for years, there may be times when you feel you’re not getting anything done in a day. You’re not completing your business tasks and you’re not completing your home tasks. You may feel like everything is falling apart and you don’t know what way is up. You may feel like you’re not doing things right and it’s time to call it quits.

Don’t let that happen. If you find yourself feeling this way, it’s time to stop and regroup. Sit down, do something for yourself, and start over. Go to the beginning and start over with your planning and start over with your to-do list and your schedule.

Sometimes when it doesn’t appear things are working it may be because they aren’t working. When you regroup you have the ability to think about the tasks you need to accomplish and decide if they really are necessary. You may find with your business that you’re doing tasks that aren’t helping you grow your business or you may find it’s time to hire a Virtual Assistant to help you. With your home tasks you may find it’s time to assign tasks to the children or you may find there is a better way to do them.

The most important thing to remember is the reason you’re working at home. Don’t forget your family is the top priority and don’t forget you need to keep them at the top of the list every day. Don’t lose your “why”. When you remember your why things will always fall into place and you’ll have successful days!
