10 Ways to Use Customer Testimonials

Wednesday, March 28th, 2012

Using customer testimonials in your marketing efforts can be very effective. They help to build your reputation, credibility and sales. Don’t be afraid to ask your satisfied customers to give you a testimonial. Most will be happy to offer their opinions. Be sure to ask their permission to use the testimonials in your marketing campaign. You must also comply with the FTC when using customer testimonials. Visit ftc.gov to find out the guidelines.

One new rule of the FTC Guidelines basically says that if the customer was compensated in any way for his testimonial, it must be disclosed. But be sure to read the complete guidelines.

Be sure to use the more detailed testimonials. Generic lines such as “Your product is great” are not as effective as one such as:

“I’ve only been using your product for one week and already I have more energy than ever before!”

You want the testimonial to highlight the benefits of your products or services – the more detail the better!

You can also use small snippets from a long testimonial when appropriate. For example: When advertising a diet supplement, you could use a snippet such as “I lost over 50 pounds!”

Below are ten easy and effective ways to use your testimonials:

1. Use small snippets on your business cards. This is a great way to draw more attention to your card.

2. Use portions of the testimonials in your email signature. Everyone you send an email to will see these testimonials.

3. If you write and submit articles, use snippets in your resource box. This can increase the amount of clicks you get from your resource box.

If you are an online business owner and are not yet active in article marketing, you need to get started as soon as possible. Why write articles?

Article writing and marketing is one of the most powerful ways to boost your traffic and sales. Articles will build your reputation and credibility. Articles will allow you to make more contacts and establish more connections. Articles will improve your ranking and bring you more traffic. Articles will improve your online presence. Article marketing is free!

Writing and article is not as hard as most people think. You are not writing a dissertation but a simple and informative article.

Below are ten steps to help you write a more successful article.

Step 1: The Title

Be sure you choose a title that will grab people’s attention and catch their interest. Most people will decide to read and article or not just by the title. Be specific in what your article is about.

For example:

Which article would you read? I know I would read the second one.

Step 2: Topic of Interest

Be sure to choose topics that people will want to know about. Do some research to see what questions people are asking. Visit forums, groups, social sites and see what needs to be addressed. See what the buzz is about and write your article accordingly.

12 Clever Ways to Boost Your Traffic

Saturday, January 28th, 2012

Traffic is essential to anyone who owns a website and/or blog. Without traffic we have no customers or sales. Unfortunately traffic does not just come to us, we have to work at it and we have to be consistent and persistent.

Sales conversion rates normally average less than 5%. What this means is that only 5% of the people who visit your site will become a paid customer. So, to increase your sales, you need to increase your traffic and/or your conversion rates. Below are twelve things you can do right now to start increasing your traffic to get those sales.

1. Launch an Article Marketing Campaign – Writing articles is not as hard as you might think and it can do wonders for your traffic! Write about something you know and just pretend you are telling a friend all about it. There is no need to use big, fancy words because people just want basic, straightforward information. Submit your articles to some of the more prominent article directories such as Ezine Articles.

2. Guest Posting and/or Commenting on Blogs – Do a search to find quality blogs in your niche and ask if they accept guest posts. Write helpful comments on existing posts and leave your link. Get involved and start building your reputation! A good place to find blogs that need guest posts is BloggerLinkUp.

Two Tips to Increase your Website Traffic with Article Marketing

Tuesday, January 17th, 2012

After you’ve written your articles, you must submit them to article directories, but it’s also a good idea to submit them to other websites as well. This will help you increase the traffic to your site.

The best thing to do to get your articles submitted to other sites is to use one of these two tips.

One way to get your articles published on other websites is to contact the website owner and ask them if they’d be interested in posting your article. Sometimes these people will post them on their blog and give you credit for the post. Another way they may list your article is if they have an article they’ll place it in their. While this is still an article directory, it’s different because they control who posts the articles and they post what they want and who they want.

Another way to have your articles posted on websites is to become a guest blogger. You need to be careful when you do these posts because some owners require original posts only. When you ask to be a guest blogger you need to make sure you choose websites that meet the needs of your target market. There is no point in posting your articles on sites that aren’t geared to your market.

When you use these two tips with your article marketing you’ll be able to increase your traffic even more than you would if you only submitted your articles to article directories. The more traffic you have to your site the better chance you’ll have of growing your business and reaching your goals.

2 Tips for Gaining Customers through Article Marketing

Tuesday, January 3rd, 2012

Gaining customers is the only way to grow your business and reach your goals. While there are several ways to make this happen, one of the best ways is to use article marketing. Articles give your customers or potential customers a chance to see what you can do and you can show them you’re an expert in your field.

There are a number of ways to come up with article ideas that will help you gain customers, but there are two that will make it happen a little easier.

1. Keywords

Search article directories and search engines using keywords that are geared to your target market and look for questions and tips that come in your searches. These things will make for good articles and you’ll find your customers or potential customers will want to read them.

The best way to come up with the keywords is to think about your target market and what they need and want. Put yourself in their shoes and use keyword searches that come to mind based on those thoughts. It’s a good idea to write them down so you can use them again later.

2. Surveys

Articles are supposed to help your customers or potential customers so what better way to do that then to ask them what they’d like to see you write about? When you do this you’ll find they’ll want to read what you write because they’ll know you’re writing to help them with their needs.

Writing Tips for Success

Wednesday, December 21st, 2011

Today is Writing Wednesday and today I want to share with you a few tips to help you write better articles and blog posts. When you write better articles you’ll find they’re excepted in more directories, people will want to use them as content on their site or blog, and you’ll increase your traffic and purchases.

When you’re writing articles or blog posts, one of the worst things you can do is write on a topic you don’t know anything about. No matter how much research you do, you’re going to risk others knowing that the topic is not something you’re an expert at and that’s not good.

Wordiness is another thing that causes problems. You’ll find if you use too many words you’ll likely repeat yourself. It’s better to use one word instead of two whenever possible. When you use this method your articles will be easier to read and people will feel comfortable reading what you offer.

One last thing you need to do with your articles is to make sure you proof them before you submit them to article directories or you post them to your blog. When people read your articles or posts and you have errors, they’re going to steer away from purchasing from you.

Article marketing and blog posts are important for businesses to use. They help you grow and reach your goals. When you use these tips you’ll have better success with them and you’ll find your business will grow to new levels.
