Two Tips Tuesday: Writing a To-do List
A to-do list will help you stay on track and know what you want to accomplish in a day. If you’re anything like me, you have a ton of things running through your head. I have family things, schedules, classes, business, and personal things and it seems as if I don’t write things down I won’t remember what needs to be done.
While a to-do list will help you get things done each day, you won’t reach success if you don’t use them properly. Here are two tips to help you write a to-do list that will be achievable.
1. Be Detailed
When you write detailed items on your to-do list you’ll know exactly what is needed to accomplish the item you desire. If you write general items you may not know what’s needed to accomplish it or you may find there is a lot involved and you may not be able to get everything accomplished due to the time it takes to complete each item.
2. Be Length Conscious
If your to-do list is too long you may find you’re overwhelmed and have no desire to work your list. It’s not a good idea to make a to-do list that’s for an entire week for this very reason. A long list is too much to look at. If you need to do a week long list, you should create a daily to-do list as well. That way you won’t be overwhelmed.
When you use these tips when writing out a to-do list you’ll have a better chance of reaching success at the end of the day. You’ll find your lists will contain items you want to achieve each day and you won’t feel overwhelmed and quite.
