Tips for Planning the 4th Quarter of 2010
The 4th quarter of 2010 is well on its way and that means we’re less than 90 days away from the New Year. If you’re behind on your goals this may be the fast track to finish them up by the end of the year.
Planning is the most important thing you need to do to reach the goals by the end of the year. There are a number of different tools you can use to reach those goals, but they may all not work or be necessary. So how do you decide what to use? That’s a decision you’re going to have to make for yourself. Here are a few suggestions for you to consider.
1. Day planner
2. Online calendar and task manager
3. Desktop calendar
4. Wall calendar
The best thing to do is try each one until you find the one that fits the best for your needs. If you don’t like to carry a planner around and hand write your tasks, you may not want to use a day planner.
An online calendar and task manager such as Google or Yahoo might work if you want to keep track of everything online. The advantage to this suggestion is you would be able to login using any computer at anytime.
Desktop calendars may be free or you may have a fee to use them. They’re housed on your computer’s desktop. The downside to this suggestion is the fact that you won’t be able to access them from a different computer.
A wall calendar may work well if you have limited items to schedule. But, if you choose to use it only for appointments and a to-do list for everything else this suggestion will work out perfectly.
If you plan your days and tasks, you’ll have an easier time reaching the goals you set out to achieve in 2010. This will also give you a good start to planning for 2011. Good luck!
