WA Subscriber-Only Give Away #1 – Your Author Profile
I’ve been promising subscriber-only give aways for a few weeks now. Here’s the first one! Most give aways will have an expiry date, but this one is continuous. There is no end date, and WA Blog subscribers can claim this gift at any time.
You already know that submitting your articles to article sites is a great way to get people talking about you and your business.
But when you sign up for your author accounts, do you take the time to fill in your profile, too?
If not, here are a few reasons why you should:
- Some publishers will only publish articles that have an author photo and/or bio. These are often reprinted right along with the article
- People really do read the author profiles. Filling in your profile is another way to build trust with your target market
- If your target includes women, research has shown that women are more likely to buy products and services from someone like them – your profile and your photo can help show that you identify with them

Here’s how it works:
If you subscribe to the WA Blog (and if you don’t, it’s easy! Just follow the instructions on the right. 
) fill in your WAHM Articles author account with:
- a photo of you
- your links
- your bio
Then give me a shout at [email protected] and I’ll send you the Press Release-o-Matic, a nifty publicity tool and resell rights, so you can quickly and easily create all the press releases you need to get even more publicity for your WAHM biz.
Better yet, the resell rights allow you to give this tool to your own list, or sell it for whatever price you choose.

Don’t know to set up your author profile? Follow these short steps:
- Sign in to your WAHM Articles author account. If you’ve forgotten your password, you can retrieve it here.
- Before you can create your profile, you need to set up your pen name. This is the name that will be attached to your articles. Usually it’s your own name, unless you’re submitting articles for someone else, or you write articles under more than one author name.
To create your pen name, click Add Pen Name on the right-hand-side of the screen. Type in the name you want and click Submit. (BTW, your pen name MUST be a person’s name, with a first and last name/initial.) - Once you have a pen name, click My User Profiles on the right hand side of the screen.
- Scroll down to the pen name you want to add a profile for. Click the wrench icon under that name.
- Now you should see your profile page. Here you can upload your photo, add your links, and write a short bio about yourself.
- When you’re done, click Save.
- If you did everything correctly, the screen should say: Profile Successfully Modified
