Weight Loss isn’t Easy!

Thursday, April 12th, 2012

Today is Thankful Thursday and I’m so thankful for my husband, Kevin. If it weren’t for him I wouldn’t be down 3 1/2 pounds today. Early in the week I was ready to quite, but he was there to help me. He’s encouraged me, reminded me of the reasons I want to lose weight, and he’s celebrated with me when I had good days. He’s the best and I love him for that.

Losing weight isn’t easy by any means, but it’s just a little bit easier when you have someone going through it with you and encouraging you to continue working at it. It makes it easier when you have someone to stand by your side and tell you you’re doing great and it’s going to pay off. It’s nice to know you have that.

I’m always thankful for Kevin because he always supports me no matter what it is I’m doing. He’s there to hug me when things don’t go my way and he’s there when I get bad news and begin to worry. That’s what I love about him. He’s always caring, understanding, and supportive. Who could ask for anything better? I know I certainly can’t, because he’s the best.

Kevey, I love you with all my heart and I’m so thankful for you today. I’m the luckiest girl in the world and I’m so glad God told me to go with you. I’m so thankful I listened because I know my life wouldn’t be as good as it is right now. You’re the best and I love you with all my heart!

Today I’m thankful for Chris!

Thursday, March 29th, 2012

Today is Thursday and that means it’s Thankful Thursday. Today I want to thank my oldest son Chris. Last month on February 28th he turned 16 and got his driver license and I’ll tell you what, it’s been a blessing. He runs errands for me and he takes his little brother to school and picks him up.

He does everything I ask and doesn’t question a thing and he doesn’t expect anything in return. It was hard for me to allow him to do this at first, but after a few times of him coming back home safe and with what I asked it got to a point where I knew he was going to be safe.

If you have a 16 year old driver in your family, you know what I’m talking about, but if you don’t, this is what you have to look forward to. He has his own car that he bought with his own money. He pays for his insurance and he pays for his gas. He’s responsible with the money he gets from his job and it’s a wonderful thing knowing he’s going to be just fine because he’s responsible already.

So today Chris, I want you to know that I’m truly thankful for all you do for me and I’m so proud of you for everything you have accomplished and what you will accomplish in the future. I love you!!

Thankful for my Awesome Clients

Thursday, February 16th, 2012

Today I’m thankful for my clients. If it weren’t for them I certainly would not be where I am today. I wouldn’t have the things I have and I wouldn’t be able to afford to do the things my family and I get today.

I have learned a lot along the way and it’s been so much fun. I can truly say I love what I do and it’s because of my clients that I have that ability. Can you honestly say you love what you do and you wouldn’t trade anything in the world? I sure can and I’m so thankful that I have that ability.

I’m very thankful for those clients that allowed me the ability to learn along the way and for those that didn’t have a problem teaching me what they needed me to do. Those are the best because they get the help they need and I get the training and the knowledge needed to not only do a good job, but I also have the ability to take that knowledge and help others as well.

I hope you’re as lucky as I am when it comes to your customers or clients and what they do for you. When they help you grow, you’ve won!

I’m Thankful for my Family Today

Thursday, February 2nd, 2012

I’ll tell you, there are certain times when you’re more thankful than others and I had one of those experiences last week. I was so thankful for my husband and boys last week. It was nice to know I didn’t have to worry about a thing because they had it under control.

You see, I ended up with a really bad cold and I’m pretty sure I had a sinus infection to go with it. I was down on and off for five days. I had at least two days where I didn’t do anything simply because I couldn’t make myself do anything. I hurt so bad and I was so cold that I just couldn’t function.

My husband and boys were there to take care of dinner and the house and never questioned a thing. They made sure I had my medicine and anything I needed. It was the sweetest and most wonderful thing in the world and I’m so thankful they did it for me. I felt like a princess even though I was sick.

So today I want to say thank you to Kevin, Chris, and Josh. You guys are the best and I love you with all my heart.

Thankful For a Family That Helps!

Thursday, December 15th, 2011

This week has been quite eventful in my family. Not only is it getting close to Christmas, which in itself is stressful, but a few days ago, my grandpa had to be admitted to the hospital. While we never want our family members to be in the hospital, having my grandpa in there is very difficult. You see, my grandma has Alzheimer’s and can not be left alone.  Fortunately, our family has once again stepped in and done whatever was needed to make sure everyone and everything was taken care of.

It’s not often that an entire family can come together and help out whenever they are needed. Much of the time, you have most family members who live out of town, which is the case in my sisters husbands family. They are the only ones in town that can take care of his grandma. On my side of the family, that is definitely not the case. My aunt is spending the night with my grandma. My dad and sister are over in the mornings at different times, and my other aunt stays with her during the day. The rest of us, including my mom, dad, uncle, and cousins alternate times to be with her in the evenings until my aunt can get back over and stay another night. They are also making sure that they go see my grandpa in the hospital. It’s times like these that you can’t help but take a step back and look at the things going on around you and say “WOW…I have an amazing family, and I am so Thankful for them!”

To all of my family who is helping out and to those of you who are out of town, but would help if they could…Thank You! I am proud to be in such a loving and caring family!

Thankful Thursday – Thankful for my Family

Thursday, December 1st, 2011

Thanksgiving was last week and I’m thankful for a lot of things. With everything we’ve had going on in our family, I’m probably more thankful this year then I have every before. I suppose that happens and it’s not a bad thing, so to speak.

I’m thankful for all the family we had attend each of the dinners. I’m thankful for the awesome food we had at each meal and I’m thankful for the great time we had visiting. I love being with my family, laughing and having a good time. It makes for the perfect Thanksgiving holiday.

I’m thankful for the Christmas season and the ability to do my shopping with my husband by my side. I feel so special that he enjoys going with me and helping me pick just the right gift for each person. It’s like a dream come true that he wants to be a part of every decision that’s made. I just love it!!

I hope your Thanksgiving Day was perfect just like mine and I pray your Christmas and New Year are wonderful.

Thanksgiving is Tomorrow

Wednesday, November 23rd, 2011

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day and I want to take this time to tell you how thankful I am for each and every one of you. I’m thankful for all of the authors on the directory and I’m also thankful for all of the readers and subscribers. Without all of you, I wouldn’t have such a successful article directory.

We’re having lunch with my in-laws and dinner with my family. We’ll have all the fixins including turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, and so much more. One of the reasons this holiday is my favorite is because of the food. I’m also thankful for God being in my life and of course my family.

Thanksgiving day is a great time to be with family while you’re preparing the meal. You talk, chat, and catch up while creating a wonderful meal everyone will enjoy. Entertaining the kids can be the hard part though. Check out our Thanksgiving color sheets. (http://bit.ly/aEJCMJ)

I’m off to prepare the appetizers for lunch tomorrow. Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving!

Thankful Thursday – Thankful for my Mom!

Thursday, November 3rd, 2011

I’m reading a book right now that has already changed my life and I know the deeper into the book I get, the more changes I’m going to see. I’m actually doing a book review later in the month that I’ll share with you. So I’m not going to go into a lot of detail on this.

The name of the book is “Money Cometh – To the Body of Christ” and it’s been awesome so far. I’ve just finished the first chapter and already I’ve experienced a change. I can’t imagine how much of a change I’ll see when I finish it.

I’m thankful that I’m reading this book and that I’m learning how to make sure the “money cometh” and just when I need it. I’m also thankful that my mom gave it to us. She is always wanting to make sure we’re doing ok and that we’re in line with what God wants us to do and that we know how to do it correctly. This book is going to make it happen.

So I must say, thanks mom! I love you and I’m so glad that God gave me to you so you could take care of me.

Thankful Thursday – Thank You Kevey!!

Thursday, October 6th, 2011

As usual I have so many things to be thankful for in my life. I’m so blessed to have the family and friends I have in my life and I wouldn’t know what to do without them. They help me through hard times and they help me celebrate when I have successes.

Today I want to thank my husband Kevin. If it weren’t for him believing in me and helping me handle things I wouldn’t be where I am today. I wouldn’t be the owner of a successful Virtual Assistant and Ghostwriting business. If it weren’t for him I would have given up shortly after I started. There were other times I would have thrown in the towel, but he talked me through it and I continued on.

If it weren’t for him we wouldn’t have two wonderful boys that I love dearly and enjoy being with. I love watching them play sports and doing other things they enjoy like fishing and all around being goofy.

Kevey, I’m so thankful I met you 21 years ago. You know the story and how funny it was and for that I’m thankful as well. If it weren’t for your quick wit and smart thinking we wouldn’t be together. HaHaHa I’m so glad you said what you said and that we’re together today. We’ve beat the odds and overcome challenge that many others wouldn’t have, but God meant for us to be together to the end.

So today I want to say thank you Kevey. Thank you for everything. I love you!!

I’m Thankful for my Online Friends

Thursday, September 8th, 2011

Today is Thankful Thursday and I’m thankful for my online friends. I have met so many people along the way since I came online in 2005. It’s nice to know you have people out there willing to help you when they can. It’s also nice to know they’ll protect you when they see something that’s wrong.

So many times friends are only there when they need something, but a true friend is there no matter what goes on and what you need. A true friend will tell you the truth even when it can be hurtful or damaging to your business or you personally.

I want to say thank you to all my online friends. I appreciate your kind words and your help. I appreciate you and I hope we can continue to be friends for a long time to come.
