In the Author Spotlight – Annie Mueller

Wednesday, June 18th, 2008

Annie MuellerThis week, WAHM Articles author Annie Mueller is in the spotlight. Not only does Annie write articles that inspire, her approach to life is an inspiration too. Here’s how Annie describes herself in her author’s profile:

“From Southern roots to Midwestern life: I grew up in Mississippi, and I love cornbread, muscadines, and SEC football. After spending a few years in St. Louis, I went back home to get a college degree in English literature. But I‚Äôd fallen in love with a St. Louis boy, and he (finally) married me and brought me back.

“These days we live just outside of St. Louis: me, my husband Joe and our two children, Mara and Robbie. Joe is Shop Manager at the family business. I am a freelance writer. Together we also do website design and any other entrepreneurial ventures that seem fun and profitable.

“I love growing as a person and helping others do the same. Reaching goals, improving difficult areas of my life, overcoming obstacles, facing challenges: these things invigorate me. I love seeing ways to be a better person. I love helping people put the past and its mistakes behind them and grow into a stronger, freer life. I write about that kind of growth, whether it’s in personal relationships, business ventures, life balance, counter culture, or habits and ideas.”

Annie, thank you for sharing your writing and ideas with us at WAHM Articles.

In the Author Spotlight – Arlene Pellicane

Wednesday, June 11th, 2008

This week, the WAHM Articles spotlight is shining on author Arlene Pellicane.

Arlene Pellicane, mother of a toddler and baby, helps women lose their baby weight and thrive. Her weekly podcast “Losing Weight After Baby” is full of practical ideas that work for busy moms.

Before becoming a stay-home mother, Arlene worked as the Associate Producer for Turning Point Television with Dr. David Jeremiah. Her articles have been featured in Dr. Jeremiah’s Turning Points Magazine (circ 145,000). Prior to working at Turning Point, Arlene was an on-air features producer for The 700 Club.

Arlene’s WAHM articles are always full of encouragement and inspiration, but I’ve chosen her this week because of her recently submitted articles about celebrating our husbands this Father’s Day:
What Your Husband Really Wants this Father’s Day and My Husband: The Super Champ of Dads.

Like Arlene, I’m married to a wonderful man, but it’s easy to take him for granted and to remember his faults instead of the countless ways he makes life amazing for me and our family. Arlene’s articles this week reminded me of how blessed I am. Thank you Arlene!

You can learn even more about Arlene by visiting her blog, and if you need some inspiration today, be sure to read her WAHM Articles while you’re here.

As our Author in the Spotlight, Arlene also receives up to $20 off any service or advertising package from WAHM Articles.

You can be in the Author Spotlight next week! To be considered, you must have:

  • submitted an inspiring article within the past 3 months
  • have completed your author’s profile with a short bio and photo

I’ve received a lot of questions lately about exactly how to fill in an author’s profile, so I’m putting together¬† a quick tutorial to help you out. That will be up soon, but in the meantime, you can send any questions you have to me at contact@wahm-articles.com.

She also runs a full time graphic design and screen printing business with her husband. If that wasn’t enough, Marisa has also started an internet shopping broker business with Market America AND is a Christian childbirth educator.

Marisa was chosen to be in the Author Spotlight this week because her recent article,¬† No Excuses For Letting Yourself Go, was truly inspiring. If you’ve been tempted to not take care of yourself like you deserve, I think this article will be an encouragement to you. It serves as a reminder of WHY you need to be looking after yourself, and suggests small changes that can make a big difference in your life.

You can learn more about Marisa by visiting her blog or by reading her WAHM Articles. She truly is a fabulous work at home mom!

As our author in the spotlight this week, Marisa receives $20 off any advertising package or service from WAHM Articles.
