About Us
WAHM-Articles is owned by Ruth and Denise Willms, a mother/daughter team.
Ruth and Denise both believe that a mother's highest calling is to be home with her children. Working from home can give mothers more options, while still making a good income.
WAHM-Articles.com was created out of a need for quality articles and information written specifically for the WAHM community.
Denise Willms is a work at home mom who helps her clients get targeted traffic to their websites by writing articles and press releases for them.
Denise first learned about Article Marketing when she launched a Virtual Assistant (VA) business in 2005 and began marketing herself online. Denise wrote an article that compared the cost of hiring an administrative assistant to contracting a Virtual Assistant. She posted the article on my website and on some article directories.
That one article did three important things for her new online business:
1. Pre-sold her VA services. Through that article, Denise was able to educate potential clients on the benefits of contracting a VA before they even contacted her. This saved Denise time and helped her convince her target market that working with a VA was a good idea for their small business. Since Denise's name and contact information were in the resource box at the end of the article, they automatically thought of Denise when they wanted more information about how a VA could help their business.
2. Established Denise's credibility. Other Virtual Assistants found the article. They contacted Denise and asked if they could use that article on their websites and in their marketing kits. This established Denise's reputation with other VAs and gave her credibility with her peers. It also showed Denise's target audience that she was credible because she knew exactly what was important to them (saving money while getting the job done well) and how she could help them achieve those goals.
3. Opened up other avenues of revenue. Other business owners saw the article, liked it, and asked if Denise would ghostwrite for them. This opened up more business opportunities for Denise and she began offering another service to a new target market – home business owners who didn’t like to write.
Besides operating WAHM-Articles.com, Denise is co-owner of www.DeniseWillms.com and author of the eBook, Uncovering the Secrets of WAHM Article Marketing.
Denise lives in Calgary, Alberta, where she homeschools her two children, Darian and Cassidy, and is very happily married to BJ, her husband of 14 years. The family shares their home with two cats, Shadow and Daisy, and a Schnoodle (a cross between a Schnauzer and a Poodle) named Roxy.
Ruth Willms is a work at home grandma who writes children's books and stories.
Ruth is the creator of The Lion Tree, a Christian fantasy book for children.
Ruth was born and grew up in the small municipality of Aldergrove, in beautiful British Columbia’s Fraser Valley, the setting for The Lion Tree . She inherited her love for reading and storytelling from her father, an enthusiastic story teller who wrote for periodicals and magazines.
For a few years Ruth wrote short stories for children's magazines. Then her dreams of being an author were put on hold while she helped her husband Ed run a construction company.
Ruth's love for children eventually led her to return to college where she enrolled in Early Childhood Education and began teaching Preschool. While teaching Preschool and later operating a dayhome, she revived her role of a story teller.
As her grandchildren, Darian and Cassidy, began elementary school, Ruth was challenged to create more intriguing, on-going stories. The bedtime stories began to revolve around her imaginary Lion Tree. Eventually, these stories became the basis of her book, The Lion Tree.
Ruth lives in Calgary, Alberta with her husband Ed. Her children's books are available at www.RuthWillms.com.
