Special Reports are Good for Business; do You have one to Share?

Have you ever signed up for a newsletter through a site and then received a special report as a gift for doing this? Maybe you made a purchase and were sent a special report as a thank you.

Special reports are a great way to increase the traffic to your site. The main reason for this is because people love to get something for free. When they do, they visit the site to see what it’s all about. Another reason it increases your traffic is because people like to return the favor and they do this by purchasing themselves or referring others to your site.

Special reports are generally three to four pages in length and can be on just about any topic you desire. You can even write a special report that is an extremely short version of an e-book or teleseminar you offer. This is a great way to offer something for free and gain exposure for your e-book or teleseminar.

Special reports can give general explanations of what you offer and how you can help people. This type of special report would be good to give away to anyone that subscribes to your newsletter and past customers or clients.

You can give a special report away when you attend expo’s, classes, or teleseminars or you can include it in the bio of your articles and give it away from your link. You can also use it as a conversation starter when you are networking. Since special reports are online, you will need to find a way to share your link with these people.

When you write your special reports, you need to find a way to gear it toward your target market. When you help them solve a problem or show them how to avoid a problem, they will continue to visit your site and purchase when they can. They will also be more willing to refer people to you because you helped them.

If you have an affiliate program, another idea for a special report is to give it to your affiliates to use in promoting your site and products or services. When they can give something away for free to the people they promote to it will be easier for them to promote your site and they will be more likely to do it. The easier you make it to them, the better off you are.

Special reports are good for business because you list your website on each page. You also include a short bio about yourself which can include a link to your site and when you sign it at the end you will also include your link. So depending on the number of pages, you can have your link on the report five or more times. That is great exposure because if they don’t see it on each page, the will likely see it at the beginning or the end.

Giving away special reports is the perfect way to increase your traffic and ultimately your sales. They are pretty easy to write and the can be on just about any topic you want to cover. They are ideal for all types of businesses as well.
