Have you ever thought of working at home to earn extra money? I'll bet your answer is yes. You are not alone with worldwide economy struggling right now and unemployment rates currently rising monthly.

Many people would like to learn how to work from home so they can improve their lifestyle or more importantly in many cases pay their bills this month.

Many times people are afraid to try new ideas when it comes to working from home. Of course they become more of a minority everyday with the explosive growth of the Internet.

If I were someone wanting to work from home I would like to start earning money quickly, like soon, not two months from now.

You might be wondering what is the best way to start working from home? Here are a few tips that I believe will help you get off to a good start:

- Use a Work at Home Directory that has done some level of research for you.
- Match any programs against you available time, realistic income objectives, skill sets and comfort zone.
- Join 2 - 3 paid programs, keep an open mind, follow the step-by-step guidance, work hard and exercise patience while you build your income to the desired levels.
- Don't assume a new creative way of working from home won't work if you have not even taken the time to follow the guidance provided and give it a chance. Be open-minded!
- The next thing you should look for are the most popular Work at Home programs. Why? Well if everyone else is doing them than there must be something good going on. There will always be a few people that won't be open-minded or realize they have to do some work that will complain and give negative feedback. When I research programs I don't mind programs that have a minimal amount of bad press if I can find a large percentage that are being successful.
