Thankful for Computers

Thursday, August 4th, 2011

I was sitting at the dentist office on Tuesday of this week and I’ll tell you what… I’m very thankful for my laptop. While I was not able to get online while I was there, I did have the ability to use the word processing document and get a bunch of my blog posts written for August.

What a blessing it is to have those written. Now all I have to do is schedule them all, but that doesn’t take hardly any time at all compared to the actual writing of them. It makes me wonder how we managed to run our home businesses before laptops came along. Or better yet, how did we function before computers came along. LOL

When man created the laptop he had an awesome product and I bet they NEVER knew how popular they would be. I think it’s getting to a point where every household has a computer and internet services, but I think it’s also coming to a point where every household would rather have a laptop than a desktop. Even though laptops are small, USB ports give you the ability to hook up a monitor, a mouse, and even a keyboard if you need to.

So all I can say is thank you to the creator of the computer. Otherwise I’d be bored at the dentist office and I’d be behind in my posts. LOL

An Inspirational Poem – Be Thankful

An Inspirational Poem
Be Thankful
By Author Unknown

Be thankful that you don’t already have everything you desire.
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?
Be thankful when you don’t know something,
for it gives you the opportunity to learn.

Be thankful for the difficult times.
During those times you grow.
Be thankful for your limitations,
because they give you opportunities for improvement.

Be thankful for each new challenge, because it will build your strength and character.
Be thankful for your mistakes. They will teach you valuable lessons.
Be thankful when you’re tired and weary,
because it means you’ve made a difference.

It’s easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who
are also thankful for the setbacks.
Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles,
and they can become your blessings.

Thankful Thursday: My boys are up Today!

Thursday, June 23rd, 2011

As always when Thankful Thursday comes along I have so many things I’m thankful for that I’m not sure where to begin or what to talk about. LOL Have you ever had that problem?

Today, I want to thank my boys for all they do. My boys care for their family so much and it shows with that they do for both me and my husband among others as well. They continually put us before them just as we do for them. It’s awesome to see a 12 and 15 year do this and I’m so thankful that I can say my boys do this as so many children would never dream of doing this for their parents.

As you know Father’s Day was last Sunday and my boys thought long and hard about what they wanted to get their dad. It’s such a hard decision to make, but I’m once again thankful they want to be a part of the decision making process rather than just leaving it to me to do.

The main thing we did was go fishing for the weekend. All three of them had a great time together. It started out on Thursday morning and didn’t end until Sunday afternoon. It was awesome and I’m thankful my husband was willing to take them even though he won’t eat the fish they caught.

Last night we picked up the final part of my husband’s Father’s Day gift. It’s a table he’s going to use for his new hobby which is stain glass. He’s very excited about it and while it was a hard decision to make, the boys and I are happy this is what we decided to do. We all agree he will get good use out of the table and he’ll enjoy it as well.

So there you have it. Now you know what I’m thankful for today. What are you thankful for on this wonderful summer day?

Thankful Thursday: I’m Thankful for my Family

Thursday, May 5th, 2011

It’s been a long and crazy week. Coming back from vacation is hard to do, but it’s so nice to get away for a while. I was prepared for the time I would be gone, but I didn’t prepare myself for the days after I came back. Lesson learned I guess. LOL

I’m thankful for my family. They encouraged me to work the long hours so I was able to take four days off. Once we started our vacation they continued to remind me we were on vacation and I was not supposed to work. While they may not know they did this, they did and I was so thankful that I did it. It’s the first time in a long time that I’ve actually taken the time off.

If it’s been a while since you’ve actually taken time off to be with your family, you need to make it happen. Once you do it you’ll see how wonderful it is and you’ll find a way to do it more often. Once I figured it out I was so thankful that my family encouraged me to make it happen.

I’m Thankful for Soooo Much!

Thursday, April 7th, 2011

Today is Thankful Thursday and I have so many things to be thankful for this week. It’s been a week to say the least. Because of everything going on I’m thankful for my family and God. Without all of them I wouldn’t be able to get through it like I do.

Without going into a lot of detail, I’ll just tell you that my husband is looking for a new job, Josh has a basketball tournament going on this week, and Chris is driving all the time. I certainly would not be able to get through all of this if it weren’t for patience, control, and God. I’d be falling apart without those things.

If you’ve ever been in a situation like this, you know exactly what I’m going through. I’m not worrying about any of this because God will get me through anything when I ask. Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” This is my Bible verse of the year and it’s one I say all the time.

So this week, I’m thankful for my family and God. Without you, I would be nothing!

A Family Standing Strong

Wednesday, March 9th, 2011

Thursday is one of my favorite days because I love the Thankful Thursday category on our blog. It gives me an opportunity to share with you what I’m thankful for during the week.

This week I’m thankful for the angels that protected my sister’s brother-in-law and sister-in-law. They were involved in a car accident on Friday of last week and both of them are going to be ok.

The brother-in-law was driving and lost control of his vehicle on wet roads. He crossed into the oncoming traffic and collided with another vehicle. He received minor injuries, but his sister has some major problems and will go through months of rehab to get herself back to normal again.

I’m thankful she is going to be ok because I know she is loved by a lot of people. Her mom and dad will have a long road ahead of them, but they’ll get through it because they have a lot of people standing by them and they will help them get through it.

I pray right now that this family along with my sister’s family are able to stand strong and get through this rough time in their lives. I also pray that my sister’s sister-in-law is able to stand strong and work her way through this time in her life.

Blessings,

So Many Things Going On, Balance is the Key!

Thursday, March 3rd, 2011

Today is Thursday and that means it’s Thankful Thursday. It’s been a while since we did this post so I wanted to bring it back and share what’s been going on lately. Which has been a lot, if I do say so myself. LOL

I’ll tell you what, I’ve had so many different things going on with my personal life and my business. It’s fun and exciting, but stressful at the same time. Balance is something I must have on a regular basis or things won’t go right and that’s a terrible thing.

My oldest son turned 15 the end of last month, and he got his learner’s permit. My youngest son is playing basketball and then will move right into track. We’re planning a trip to Las Vegas and we’re remodeling our kitchen. Boy that’s a lot going on, but I must say I’m thankful for all of it and wouldn’t change anything.

As for my business I have a lot going on as well. I’ve met two of my goals which is exciting and a wonderful feeling to say the least. I have several more to go and things I need to do on a weekly basis to reach those goals.

Some people would stress and panic over everything I have going on right now, but it’s my life and I’m used to it. When summer hits and life slows down I worry about what I’m going to do. I like to stay busy doing things, having fun, and spending time with my family. They are my life and I love being with them and doing things with them.

I’m Thankful for a lot this Month

Thursday, February 3rd, 2011

Thankful Thursday ButtonWith the month of January completed and in the history books, I find that I’m thankful again for a lot of reasons, just as I was at the end of 2010. This happens at different times of the year for different people, but for me I’m thankful for everyone that helped me reach my goals during the month of January.

I’m thankful for all of my guest bloggers. I could not have made a post every single day without each and every one of you. You’re the ones that make this blog what it is today and for that not only am I thankful, but I’m also grateful.

I’m also thankful for all of my wonderful authors. Without each and every one of you I wouldn’t have such a wonderful directory, full of awesome articles. These articles are exactly what people are looking for and our traffic is increasing each day and it’s because of all of you and your articles.

I’m thankful for my first author to reach 500 article submissions. I’m hoping with this great accomplishment other authors will strive to reach this same level as this author. She knows what it takes to reach success with article marketing and I want others to know this can happen for them as well.

I’m also thankful for my wonderful Virtual Assistant who helps me make this site and blog what it is. Without her I would not be able to continue to grow my VA and Ghostwriting business along with WAHM-Articles. I also wouldn’t be able to schedule all of these wonderful posts with her.

Boy, I guess I’m thankful for a lot this month, but that’s ok. I’m thankful for so many things because of all the people I have in my life. Without all of you, I wouldn’t be where I am today and for that I’m VERY thankful.

Blessings,

Thankful Thursday

Thursday, January 13th, 2011

Thankful Thursday ButtonI have so many things I’m thankful for right now that I wasn’t sure what to share with you and I knew I didn’t want to rattle on and on with all the different things, so I decided to share this wonderful poem with you instead.

Be thankful for each new challenge,
because it will build your strength and character.

Sometimes when you have so many different things to say it’s better to not say anything and share something that may be more meaningful to others. This poem does just that. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Blessings,

I’m Thankful for My Family, How about You?

Thursday, December 2nd, 2010

Thankful Thursday ButtonToday is Thankful Thursday and I have a lot to be thankful for this week. With Thanksgiving this past week we spent a lot of time with the family and that’s exactly what I enjoy doing. Family is very important to me and I love to be around everyone. I have a VERY large family and spending time with them is enjoyable to me.

Something sad happened last week and that makes me treasure my family and friends so much more. It’s unfortunate that it takes a sad event like this to make you realize just how important family is in your life. I have told myself that I’m not going to take things for granted anymore. So with all of that said, I’m so thankful for all the friends I have online and offline and my family.

I’m also thankful for all of the great women that are working with me on our blog tour that starts today. It’s going to be an awesome month and I’m so thankful they decided to be a part of it. The post starts here and will move to each of the seven blogs that are a part of the tour. Make sure you stop by each Tuesday and Thursday to see what we’re talking about next. I’m sure you’ll be thankful you did. Make sure you leave your comments and ask questions as well.

Blessings,
