Guest Post: The Most Effective Article Marketing Tips For The Success Of Your Business

Tuesday, July 12th, 2011

Now that you have a website and you have a little traffic coming to it, you need to turn that little traffic into big traffic. There are numerous ways to accomplish this. One of the most effective ways is article marketing. If you enjoy writing, then half the battle is won. You will be able to market your website effectively through article marketing based on your specific niche.

How do you get started with this process? Below are some ideal tips and advice.

* Firstly for article marketing to work you must write consistently, even on those days that you don’t feel like writing. You have to be seriously committed to it.
* You need to hook your readers within your very first sentence. This is the key to getting your articles read, getting targeted traffic, and finally getting the sales. Most readers will click away if you don’t catch their attention with the first sentence or two. Make those words count!
* Find high quality directories to submit your articles to. Carefully follow all rules and guidelines for each directory.
* Sometimes article ideas don’t come easily. You will need to search for them on various social networks, article directories, blogs that cater to your niche, as well as websites.
* Find out what your target market is and write articles based around that. You will need to use essential keywords that you think your market will be searching for. Try and write your articles based on providing your readers with a solution to a problem or benefit.
* Strategically place your targeted keywords in the first paragraph, in the middle of your article, and again in the last paragraph. This is for search engine purposes, and it’s the best strategy for your market to be able to find your content easily and quickly.
* Guest blogging is also an important element of article marketing. However, it’s essential to search for blogs that share your niche. One other important matter relating to guest blogging; you need to make these posts/articles your best writing. So take your time with writing these in order to compliment the blog and its style you are writing for.
* Exchanging articles with other bloggers or web developers can be highly beneficial to your traffic and business. The idea here is to write exclusive articles for the website or blog in question. You know the saying, “scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours.” Well this is sort of what article exchanging is. Both parties get something, and that is fresh content and hopefully a better flow of traffic.
* Your resource box should be relevant to your written article and include text links to your website or affiliate link. It also should be beneficial to your readers. Provide a solution or benefit to your readers, and do it naturally. Don’t fill your resource box with a lot of “hype” or “fluff” to make yourself look good. In most cases, short and to the point will yield more results.
* Finally, you will need to spell check your writing, not only for spelling, but for grammar as well. Remember you are marketing yourself with these articles. Spell check, grammar check, and check again! Here are four online spell/grammar checkers for your convenience.

Hopefully the 10 effective article marketing tips above will help you become a better, more rounded writer and article marketer. Keep at it and here’s wishing much success to you!

Article Marketing… Is it Good for Business?

Thursday, June 2nd, 2011

Growing a business online is not as easy as you may think. People like talking to a real person, seeing and feeling products, and handing their money to a cashier. These are all things that are no way possible when you run your business online.

The only way around those issues is to build trust with your market. That’s definitely not easy to do when you build your business strictly online only. So you must do what it takes to help people have the trust factor. Social networking is one way to make that happen, but an even easier and better way to make it happen is to use article marketing.

Article marketing makes it a little easier to build trust. You have the ability to show your market how much you know and how important it is for you to help them. When you write articles that help your readers in some fashion it will make the trust factor come a little easier for them.

What Can you Do with PLR Articles?

Saturday, May 28th, 2011

You may have seen the term Private Label Rights or PLR articles being tossed around frequently lately. PLR articles are articles you can buy (usually in packages or as part of a membership) that you may edit and use as you wish. Unlike free reprint articles, you are not required to link back to anyone else’s website which makes them appealing to many web publishers.

Once you understand the concept behind PLR articles, you can see why they are appealing. Most people can envision the value of adding the articles to their websites. But, did you know there are more ways to use PLR articles than that?

1. Add them to your blog.
Similar to adding PLR articles to your website, you can take excerpts and use them on your blog for fresh content. Whether you take a portion and use it as a “tip of the day” or use the entire article, PLR articles can be a huge time saver for you.

2. Send them in your newsletter.
Need content for your newsletter? PLR articles are an option. Of course, if you’re developing a relationship with your readers, you may wish to edit the articles to make them your own voice. However, you can pull a section from a PLR article – use it as inspiration — and whip out a newsletter in minutes.

3. Start an ecourse
If you purchase a package of PLR articles based on a theme, it’s quite easy to turn them into an ecourse simply by adding them to your auto-responder. Something as simple as “Five Ideas for Kids Lunches” can become a 5 day ecourse to grow a big newsletter list.

4. Use them in your podcast
Take a PLR article and use it as inspiration for a podcast. Add the content and you’re done.

Article Writing – Time Management Tips For Mothers and Grandmothers

Thursday, May 26th, 2011

Article writing can benefit your online reputation, your website or blog rankings, and also benefit your main income stream. Article marketers, both beginners and seasoned, are making a good income with article marketing alone.

However, some find time to be a challenge, especially those with children or grandchildren at home. I myself as a new work at home grandmother, struggle at times to fit my writing in my busy days. Although I have found various ways to work more efficiently with my writing, I still find it overwhelming at times. All homeworkers have days when they don’t turn out the way they planned it. It happens to the best of us.

Are you a mother or grandmother struggling to fit writing time into your hectic schedule? Here are some things I have done to make my work day more time efficient.

* Daily workout for energy and focus throughout the day. Exercise clears the mind, and gets you going when done first thing in the morning. I personally, have found this to be extremely helpful. It helps to keep my mind sharp and also focus on what is the most important each day throughout the week . Plus it’s good for my health.

* I get up At 5AM… 4AM on the days when I have my grandbaby. Sometimes I have to force myself to get up this early, but it’s the only way I can get my work done when caring for my grandson. You may find it’s necessary to get up before the others in your household to get things done.

*I say “NO” to specific things I don’t have time for. And often times, there are things that come up that are quite tempting, but I have to focus on the things that are most beneficial to my business.

* Set priorities and make lists. I HAVE to make daily, or sometimes weekly lists that helps keep me on schedule. I realize that some people do fine without doing this, but it works for me. I keep my daily schedule right in front of me, and check writing projects off when each one is completed.

* Extinguish clutter on your desk and keep things tidy. I find this to be a challenge on some days. However I have to say, when I do have a tidy work area, I am, and also feel more productive. I find a messy desk distracts me and only makes me feel overwhelmed. (more…)

Does Article Marketing Really Grow Your Business?

Saturday, March 26th, 2011

This is a question I get on a regular basis, mainly because it’s a concern for a lot of people. Business owners don’t have the time to waste on tasks that won’t make them money. They don’t have the finances to do things that won’t increase their current income and grow their business.

One of the things we know works has to do with incoming links. The more incoming links we have the more likely people will make it to your website. One of the easiest ways to increase the number of links coming into your website is write and submit articles.

Not only will article marketing help you with incoming links but it will also help you build trust, but you’ll also build a following. When your follower’s feel you’re an expert and you know what you’re talking about they’ll want you to be the one to help them out.

The more you write and submit the more you’ll grow your business. There is no set number of articles to do each month, but it’s a good idea to submit one a week if it’s at all possible. The important thing to remember is you need to submit articles as often as possible. When you do this you’ll find article marketing will grow your business.

Article Marketing Outside the Box

Saturday, February 19th, 2011

Article marketing is important for all business owners. No matter how large or small your business is you need to use articles to grow and increase the trust others have in you. Submitting your articles to directories is just as important as writing them. If you don’t submit them people won’t see them and have the ability to read them.

If you think about it, a lot of times you can you can work your business into almost any topic. For example, no matter what type of business you run you can write an article regarding network marketing. If your target market happens to be parents you could write articles on family, parenting, parenting books, or birthday ideas and work them into your business.

We have a number of article categories that need more articles so if you write in these areas, we’d love to have you submit them so our readers have the pleasure of reading your work.

Guest Post – The Flexibility Of Article Marketing – Take It Everywhere You Go

Monday, February 14th, 2011

Open spiral notebook with pen on wooden table. The flexibility of article marketing is a wonderful thing. If you have your own business and you write exclusively for yourself, then your time is YOURS. You don’t have to worry about deadlines, and you don’t have to push a time clock or answer to anyone but yourself.

Writing articles can be a breeze at times, when the flow of ideas seems to come easily. However, it can also be challenging, this happens to all writers. Where is your next article idea going to come from? If you’re an avid article marketer, you know where I’m coming from.

Below are just a few tips to encourage the flexibility of article writing

* Take a notebook everywhere you go. It happens too many times, you’re in the supermarket line flipping through magazines, you’re picking up your child from school and you run into a mom that you know and a conversation initiate, or you’re at a church meeting discussing fundraisers. These are the times that ideas transpire. This way you have something to write down ideas.

* Keep a recorder close by at all times. I’ve heard of many article marketers doing this. These small recorders conveniently fit in the palm of your hand. When ideas come, simply record your ideas, paragraphs, or article titles.

* Go out to a coffee house or restaurant by yourself, listen and observe. Take a laptop or notebook with you. Perhaps the group of people next to you are engaged in an interesting conversation. Or maybe looking at the menu strikes up an idea for a particular recipe or cooking article. Fresh ideas are everywhere.

* Take advantage of those nights when you can’t sleep. Get up and do some writing, especially if your thoughts happen to be focused on article ideas. Even if it’s just to write down some ideas or a few titles. I myself, have done this many times. I have to get up and jot down an idea or two, because I know that in the morning, it will be gone. Keeping a small notepad at your bedside is a great idea as well.

* Observe what everyone is talking about on the various social networks. The writing mode often comes easily to me while on Twitter. I see home business associates asking questions and others answering. Observe how they handle themselves while offering their best tips or advice. If I happen to come up with the perfect title or idea for a blog post or perhaps an article for a client on my Twitter sessions, then I stop everything and open a new document and start writing.

* Sometimes I write articles on paper first and then type them out on the computer. In fact, this used to be the usual way of writing for me. I’ve often heard others say they’ve done the same. Relax in a park, watch your favorite program on television, or maybe spend a peaceful evening with your spouse. Ironically, these are the times that ideas hit. Take out that pad of paper and let the ideas flow!

* Observe WHEN you are the most creative. This may be early mornings, or late afternoons. Or maybe late at night after the little ones are tucked into bed. It really does make a difference if you notice when your mind relaxes and various perspectives begin to surface.

You can literally take article writing and marketing everywhere you go. Take full advantage of the flexibility of article marketing. Remember, the really good ideas seem to creep up at the oddest times.
