2 Tips for Gaining Customers through Article Marketing

Tuesday, January 3rd, 2012

Gaining customers is the only way to grow your business and reach your goals. While there are several ways to make this happen, one of the best ways is to use article marketing. Articles give your customers or potential customers a chance to see what you can do and you can show them you’re an expert in your field.

There are a number of ways to come up with article ideas that will help you gain customers, but there are two that will make it happen a little easier.

1. Keywords

Search article directories and search engines using keywords that are geared to your target market and look for questions and tips that come in your searches. These things will make for good articles and you’ll find your customers or potential customers will want to read them.

The best way to come up with the keywords is to think about your target market and what they need and want. Put yourself in their shoes and use keyword searches that come to mind based on those thoughts. It’s a good idea to write them down so you can use them again later.

2. Surveys

Articles are supposed to help your customers or potential customers so what better way to do that then to ask them what they’d like to see you write about? When you do this you’ll find they’ll want to read what you write because they’ll know you’re writing to help them with their needs.

Writing Tips for Success

Wednesday, December 21st, 2011

Today is Writing Wednesday and today I want to share with you a few tips to help you write better articles and blog posts. When you write better articles you’ll find they’re excepted in more directories, people will want to use them as content on their site or blog, and you’ll increase your traffic and purchases.

When you’re writing articles or blog posts, one of the worst things you can do is write on a topic you don’t know anything about. No matter how much research you do, you’re going to risk others knowing that the topic is not something you’re an expert at and that’s not good.

Wordiness is another thing that causes problems. You’ll find if you use too many words you’ll likely repeat yourself. It’s better to use one word instead of two whenever possible. When you use this method your articles will be easier to read and people will feel comfortable reading what you offer.

One last thing you need to do with your articles is to make sure you proof them before you submit them to article directories or you post them to your blog. When people read your articles or posts and you have errors, they’re going to steer away from purchasing from you.

Article marketing and blog posts are important for businesses to use. They help you grow and reach your goals. When you use these tips you’ll have better success with them and you’ll find your business will grow to new levels.

Steps to Getting Started with Article Marketing

Saturday, November 5th, 2011

Article marketing is one of the best ways to grow your business and gain the trust of your market. You’ll show others you’re an expert in your field when you write articles on a regular basis. One of the most important parts of article marketing that is often times forgotten is the submission part of it.

Submitting your articles to the article directories is the only way people will see what you have to say. If you keep the articles you write to yourself nobody will see why they should use your products or services. They won’t see that your an expert in your field and you are the only one they should use.

The best way to show your market these things is to submit your articles to the directories. Now that’s not an easy thing to do if you’re new to this marketing technique. The first thing to do is search for article directories that are geared toward your market. This can be a bit of a challenge, but it’s a must so you make sure your articles are visible to the right readers.

Once you find the right directories it’s time to start submitting your articles. The first thing you need to do is set up accounts or profiles at these directories. Most of the information is the same so it won’t take long to get these set up. Some directories require approval while others are immediate. It’s a good idea to make not of the link, username, and password on a spreadsheet so you can keep track of easily.

Reaching Article Marketing Success with a Ghostwriter

Wednesday, November 2nd, 2011

Article marketing is one of the tasks every business owner needs to do, but at times, it’s just not feasible to make it happen. While article marketing doesn’t directly make you money, it’s something you must do to not only build trust, but also show your market you’re an expert in your field.

If you find it’s just not possible to make article marketing a part of your business, it’s time you consider hiring a ghostwriter. A ghostwriter will be able to help you with not only your article marketing needs, but she’ll be able to help you with blog posts as well.

A ghostwriter will run with your ideas and turn it into a fine article worthy of publication.
If you’ve ever been afraid to hire a ghostwriter, it’s possible the reason is because you don’t know exactly how they work. The first thing you need to know is how a ghostwriter works. Once you have an understanding you’ll see how a ghostwriter can really help you to reach success with your business.

A ghostwriter writes articles on your behalf in exchange for money. Basically you pay her to write for you. Once the article is written and you approve of it, you pay her and you do what you want with the article. You can change a few things and add a couple of sentences and publish the article or you can use it as is and submit it right away.

Organize Your Marketing to Save Time

Saturday, October 8th, 2011

Do you have time to market your WAHM business? Many work-at-home-moms market their businesses regularly when they start out and are desperate for that first paying customer. But when they get busy with clients, their marketing often falls to the wayside… until they realize they don’t have any work lined up for the next month. Then they swing back the other direction and heavily focus on marketing again.

When your marketing follows this pattern, you can waste a lot of time wondering which marketing technique to try next, and figuring out how to make it work. Instead of continually growing, your business will jump ahead in short spurts.

If you take the time to create a marketing plan, your business will always be growing because you’ll always know what to do next. You won’t get “stuck” when you have a plan to keep moving – even during busy times.

Begin to create your marketing plan by deciding what types of marketing are good for your business. What has worked well for you in the past? Is there anything new you want to add to your marketing mix?

Next, plan your marketing. Instead of focusing on the final goal – for example, an exciting publicity campaign for your new website – break the entire process down into steps. This way, you can see the big picture, but will only focus on one step at a time.

For instance, if you would like to promote your business by writing articles, you might break your marketing into these steps:

Using other Marketing Tools for your Articles

Wednesday, October 5th, 2011

One of the ways article marketing is a success is to have people read what you write. If they don’t know you write, they won’t know to read it. That’s not good when you take the time to write the best articles possible.

It’s not enough to only submit them to article directories. You must help others find your articles. The best way to have even more success with your articles is to promote them. When you do this you’ll find more and more people will read them, you’ll increase the traffic to your site, and you’ll grow your business.

There are several places you can market your articles and it’s a good idea to use them all if you can. Some of these places allow you to set up automatic posts while others will require you to post it yourself. It’s a good idea to do some research to see what you can find as automation is a good way to go.

Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and message boards are just a few of the many different places you can market your articles. If you post them to your blog you can set your blog up to automatically post to Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. You’ll have to post them to message boards yourself though. Some article directories will allow you to set up your Twitter account so your approved articles are published there as soon as they are approved.

When you share your articles with others through marketing you’ll find your success will increase and you’ll build trust. Don’t think just because you publish an article in a directory everyone will see it. Each person is different in the places they visit online and the terms they use for searches. Don’t be afraid to place you articles in other places for people to see. You’ll be glad you took the time to set things up.

Tips for Reaching Success with Article Marketing

Saturday, July 30th, 2011

While article marketing is a very valuable tool all business owners should use, it won’t do you a bit of good if you do it the incorrect way. Not only will the incorrect way cause you to not have your articles approved, but it’s also a good way to have no readers. That’s not good, so it’s best to do it right the first time.

Problems with the title, the bio, the content, and keywords are all things that cause problems, but one that most people don’t think about has to do with the length of the article. Most, if not all article directories have word limits on the articles. This number usually has to do with the minimum number they will accept, but some also have a maximum number they will accept too.

While you don’t want your article to be too short, it’s also important to think about it being too long. If you have a lot to say, you might consider writing a series of articles on the topic to help prevent it from being so long that people won’t read it. There is no right or wrong number of words to use, so it makes it a little difficult to make the determination, but a good rule of thumb is 500 words.

If you go more than 500 words in one article you could possibly have readers that won’t take the time. They may be too busy or don’t have the time it would take to read it, so it’s best to keep it on the shorter side.

So the next time you sit down to write an article, think about the content and how many words it’s going to take for you to get the point across. This will help you to decide if you need to write one article or multiples. You’ll have more success when you do this and you’ll find your readership will increase which increases your business as well.
