Using other Marketing Tools for your Articles

Wednesday, October 5th, 2011

One of the ways article marketing is a success is to have people read what you write. If they don’t know you write, they won’t know to read it. That’s not good when you take the time to write the best articles possible.

It’s not enough to only submit them to article directories. You must help others find your articles. The best way to have even more success with your articles is to promote them. When you do this you’ll find more and more people will read them, you’ll increase the traffic to your site, and you’ll grow your business.

There are several places you can market your articles and it’s a good idea to use them all if you can. Some of these places allow you to set up automatic posts while others will require you to post it yourself. It’s a good idea to do some research to see what you can find as automation is a good way to go.

Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and message boards are just a few of the many different places you can market your articles. If you post them to your blog you can set your blog up to automatically post to Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. You’ll have to post them to message boards yourself though. Some article directories will allow you to set up your Twitter account so your approved articles are published there as soon as they are approved.

When you share your articles with others through marketing you’ll find your success will increase and you’ll build trust. Don’t think just because you publish an article in a directory everyone will see it. Each person is different in the places they visit online and the terms they use for searches. Don’t be afraid to place you articles in other places for people to see. You’ll be glad you took the time to set things up.

Tips for Reaching Success with Article Marketing

Saturday, July 30th, 2011

While article marketing is a very valuable tool all business owners should use, it won’t do you a bit of good if you do it the incorrect way. Not only will the incorrect way cause you to not have your articles approved, but it’s also a good way to have no readers. That’s not good, so it’s best to do it right the first time.

Problems with the title, the bio, the content, and keywords are all things that cause problems, but one that most people don’t think about has to do with the length of the article. Most, if not all article directories have word limits on the articles. This number usually has to do with the minimum number they will accept, but some also have a maximum number they will accept too.

While you don’t want your article to be too short, it’s also important to think about it being too long. If you have a lot to say, you might consider writing a series of articles on the topic to help prevent it from being so long that people won’t read it. There is no right or wrong number of words to use, so it makes it a little difficult to make the determination, but a good rule of thumb is 500 words.

If you go more than 500 words in one article you could possibly have readers that won’t take the time. They may be too busy or don’t have the time it would take to read it, so it’s best to keep it on the shorter side.

So the next time you sit down to write an article, think about the content and how many words it’s going to take for you to get the point across. This will help you to decide if you need to write one article or multiples. You’ll have more success when you do this and you’ll find your readership will increase which increases your business as well.

Guest Post: The Most Effective Article Marketing Tips For The Success Of Your Business

Tuesday, July 12th, 2011

Now that you have a website and you have a little traffic coming to it, you need to turn that little traffic into big traffic. There are numerous ways to accomplish this. One of the most effective ways is article marketing. If you enjoy writing, then half the battle is won. You will be able to market your website effectively through article marketing based on your specific niche.

How do you get started with this process? Below are some ideal tips and advice.

* Firstly for article marketing to work you must write consistently, even on those days that you don’t feel like writing. You have to be seriously committed to it.
* You need to hook your readers within your very first sentence. This is the key to getting your articles read, getting targeted traffic, and finally getting the sales. Most readers will click away if you don’t catch their attention with the first sentence or two. Make those words count!
* Find high quality directories to submit your articles to. Carefully follow all rules and guidelines for each directory.
* Sometimes article ideas don’t come easily. You will need to search for them on various social networks, article directories, blogs that cater to your niche, as well as websites.
* Find out what your target market is and write articles based around that. You will need to use essential keywords that you think your market will be searching for. Try and write your articles based on providing your readers with a solution to a problem or benefit.
* Strategically place your targeted keywords in the first paragraph, in the middle of your article, and again in the last paragraph. This is for search engine purposes, and it’s the best strategy for your market to be able to find your content easily and quickly.
* Guest blogging is also an important element of article marketing. However, it’s essential to search for blogs that share your niche. One other important matter relating to guest blogging; you need to make these posts/articles your best writing. So take your time with writing these in order to compliment the blog and its style you are writing for.
* Exchanging articles with other bloggers or web developers can be highly beneficial to your traffic and business. The idea here is to write exclusive articles for the website or blog in question. You know the saying, “scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours.” Well this is sort of what article exchanging is. Both parties get something, and that is fresh content and hopefully a better flow of traffic.
* Your resource box should be relevant to your written article and include text links to your website or affiliate link. It also should be beneficial to your readers. Provide a solution or benefit to your readers, and do it naturally. Don’t fill your resource box with a lot of “hype” or “fluff” to make yourself look good. In most cases, short and to the point will yield more results.
* Finally, you will need to spell check your writing, not only for spelling, but for grammar as well. Remember you are marketing yourself with these articles. Spell check, grammar check, and check again! Here are four online spell/grammar checkers for your convenience.

Article Marketing… Is it Good for Business?

Thursday, June 2nd, 2011

Growing a business online is not as easy as you may think. People like talking to a real person, seeing and feeling products, and handing their money to a cashier. These are all things that are no way possible when you run your business online.

The only way around those issues is to build trust with your market. That’s definitely not easy to do when you build your business strictly online only. So you must do what it takes to help people have the trust factor. Social networking is one way to make that happen, but an even easier and better way to make it happen is to use article marketing.

Article marketing makes it a little easier to build trust. You have the ability to show your market how much you know and how important it is for you to help them. When you write articles that help your readers in some fashion it will make the trust factor come a little easier for them.

What Can you Do with PLR Articles?

Saturday, May 28th, 2011

You may have seen the term Private Label Rights or PLR articles being tossed around frequently lately. PLR articles are articles you can buy (usually in packages or as part of a membership) that you may edit and use as you wish. Unlike free reprint articles, you are not required to link back to anyone else’s website which makes them appealing to many web publishers.

Once you understand the concept behind PLR articles, you can see why they are appealing. Most people can envision the value of adding the articles to their websites. But, did you know there are more ways to use PLR articles than that?

1. Add them to your blog.
Similar to adding PLR articles to your website, you can take excerpts and use them on your blog for fresh content. Whether you take a portion and use it as a “tip of the day” or use the entire article, PLR articles can be a huge time saver for you.

2. Send them in your newsletter.
Need content for your newsletter? PLR articles are an option. Of course, if you’re developing a relationship with your readers, you may wish to edit the articles to make them your own voice. However, you can pull a section from a PLR article – use it as inspiration — and whip out a newsletter in minutes.

3. Start an ecourse
If you purchase a package of PLR articles based on a theme, it’s quite easy to turn them into an ecourse simply by adding them to your auto-responder. Something as simple as “Five Ideas for Kids Lunches” can become a 5 day ecourse to grow a big newsletter list.

4. Use them in your podcast
Take a PLR article and use it as inspiration for a podcast. Add the content and you’re done.

Article Writing – Time Management Tips For Mothers and Grandmothers

Thursday, May 26th, 2011

Article writing can benefit your online reputation, your website or blog rankings, and also benefit your main income stream. Article marketers, both beginners and seasoned, are making a good income with article marketing alone.

However, some find time to be a challenge, especially those with children or grandchildren at home. I myself as a new work at home grandmother, struggle at times to fit my writing in my busy days. Although I have found various ways to work more efficiently with my writing, I still find it overwhelming at times. All homeworkers have days when they don’t turn out the way they planned it. It happens to the best of us.

Are you a mother or grandmother struggling to fit writing time into your hectic schedule? Here are some things I have done to make my work day more time efficient.

* Daily workout for energy and focus throughout the day. Exercise clears the mind, and gets you going when done first thing in the morning. I personally, have found this to be extremely helpful. It helps to keep my mind sharp and also focus on what is the most important each day throughout the week . Plus it’s good for my health.

* I get up At 5AM… 4AM on the days when I have my grandbaby. Sometimes I have to force myself to get up this early, but it’s the only way I can get my work done when caring for my grandson. You may find it’s necessary to get up before the others in your household to get things done.

*I say “NO” to specific things I don’t have time for. And often times, there are things that come up that are quite tempting, but I have to focus on the things that are most beneficial to my business.

* Set priorities and make lists. I HAVE to make daily, or sometimes weekly lists that helps keep me on schedule. I realize that some people do fine without doing this, but it works for me. I keep my daily schedule right in front of me, and check writing projects off when each one is completed.

* Extinguish clutter on your desk and keep things tidy. I find this to be a challenge on some days. However I have to say, when I do have a tidy work area, I am, and also feel more productive. I find a messy desk distracts me and only makes me feel overwhelmed. (more…)

Does Article Marketing Really Grow Your Business?

Saturday, March 26th, 2011

This is a question I get on a regular basis, mainly because it’s a concern for a lot of people. Business owners don’t have the time to waste on tasks that won’t make them money. They don’t have the finances to do things that won’t increase their current income and grow their business.

One of the things we know works has to do with incoming links. The more incoming links we have the more likely people will make it to your website. One of the easiest ways to increase the number of links coming into your website is write and submit articles.

Not only will article marketing help you with incoming links but it will also help you build trust, but you’ll also build a following. When your follower’s feel you’re an expert and you know what you’re talking about they’ll want you to be the one to help them out.

The more you write and submit the more you’ll grow your business. There is no set number of articles to do each month, but it’s a good idea to submit one a week if it’s at all possible. The important thing to remember is you need to submit articles as often as possible. When you do this you’ll find article marketing will grow your business.
